Timeform View

It wasn't the strongest of contests by any means that saw SUPPLICATE bring up the 4-timer at Salisbury last month but she still got the job done in straightforward fashion and, clearly on a roll for her leading connections, looks a leading player again taking on her elders for the first time. Pol Roger and Obito are 2 of the older brigade who arrive in rude health and command plenty of respect, with Newbury scorer Magical Merlot another in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Supplicate traded at a high of 2.60 and Betfair SP of 2.64 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Obito (IRE)
Back to his best when winning a 13-runner handicap at Ayr (1¼m, good) under a very good ride 2 starts back. Ran every bit as well on the back of a 6 lb rise when staying on for third at Goodwood 16 days ago and should go well again for all he's operating from a career-high mark.
Supplicate
Progressive filly. Won all 4 starts since an eye-catching debut last October, making the most of good opportunity when landing 4-runner contest at Salisbury (1¼m) 33 days ago. That wasn't the deepest of races but she's clearly on a roll for her top yard and may not have yet reached her ceiling.
Pol Roger (IRE)
Ended a long losing sequence in 13-runner handicap at Ayr (1¼m, good to firm) in August and emerged with plenty of credit having been in front well before the winner in a strongly-run race when runner up at Haydock 12 days ago. Can be competitive again on back of a 2 lb rise.
Magical Merlot
Ended juvenile campaign with success at Brighton (1m) in the autumn. Mixed bag so far this season but better start/prominent pitch undoubtedly helped when adding to his tally over this trip at Newbury 3 weeks ago. That may not prove his limit at this trip.
League Of Justice (USA)
Son of Justify who stepped up plenty on his first 2 starts when third in a Newcastle novice (7f) 10 days ago, picking up to good effect late on. This step up in trip promises to suit on that evidence now handicapping for all the assessor looks to have taken no chances with opening mark.
Panelli
Opened account at Lingfield last autumn on final outing for George Boughey. Runner-up twice on all-weather for Stuart Williams earlier this year and not disgraced for all he was friendless in betting when seventh at Beverley (8.5f, heavy) on yard debut 16 days ago. Still, more needed up in trip.
Enamorus (IRE)
Placed all 3 starts at 2 yrs and produced her best effort to date in first-time cheekpieces when third of 9 in handicap at Beverley (8.5f, good) in July. Possibly not 100% when well held at Sandown later that month but has been given a 7-week break and she's worth another crack at this trip.
