DRAGON SPIN has been hindered by slow starts on each of her last 2 outings but this is a welcome ease in class for Steph Hollinshead's filly and operating just 1 lb above her last winning mark, she could be worth chancing to bounce back under Clifford Lee. Startling is a really admirable filly and can make her presence felt again, with Canaria Queen and All Good others worth a look.

Startling shouldn’t be inconvenienced if looking to adopt a prominent position: The leaders will have to go harder than the predicted pace forecast if the hold-up horses such as All Good are going to come into things.

No impact in a couple of all-weather maidens last autumn but despite residual inexperience, showed much improved form when making a winning return/turf debut in 6-runner Ripon novice (6f) 6 weeks ago. Further progress needed from this mark now handicapping but she's in good hands to do so.
Canaria Queen
Has proved as good as ever this year, winning 3 times with the latest at Hamilton in June. Essentially held her form well since, caught on the far wing when 2 lengths fifth of 9 in handicap at Redcar (5f) 2 weeks ago. Possibilities again.
Sea Her Excel
Has made all in fast-ground handicaps at Wetherby (5.5f) and Ayr (5f) this summer. Set a sound gallop when third at Lingfield (5f) last month and this rates more suitable having failed to get home (raced freely) over 6f at Newcastle 10 days ago.
Dragon Spin
A dual 5f handicap winner at Nottingham and Thirsk this summer. Done herself no favours with slow breaks on last 2 starts, caught wide as a result when fifth of 6 over the minimum trip at Chester 24 days ago. Ease back down in class a plus now and better showing anticipated.
Startling
A 4-time winner over 5f for David O'Meara who has been holding her form very well for present yard, producing a career best in retained blinkers when scoring at Southwell (5f) 12 days ago. This tougher up in class but she's hard to rule out in present groove.
Marajito
C&D winner in May who doubled her career tally from a 2 lb higher mark at Ripon (5f) later same month. Best effort since when second at that venue at the start of last month but not in same form either start since.
Doralee
Won a C&D classified event for the second successive season in early-August. Wasn't disgraced when fourth at Wolverhampton next time but not in same form when down the field at Musselburgh (5f) 3 days ago. More needed in this higher grade.
