Timeform View

AXEL BLEUE is a chaser on the up and still looks on a workable mark. He can register his third victory of the season. Light N Strike could prove dangerous if the return to Emma Lavelle sparks a revival in form, whilst the consistent Grand Clermont is also much respected.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Axel Bleue traded at more than 10 times Betfair SP and 2 times Betfair SP when winning on 2 of its last 5 starts: Gwash traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Grand Clermont (FR)
Ground-versatile sort who has gone from strength to strength for current connections, winning handicaps over C&D and Perth this summer. Continued in good heart since and another bold bid looks on the cards.
Mt Fugi Park (IRE)
Not the most consistent but very much on a going day when making all in 9-runner handicap chase (14/1) over shorter trip at Worcester 55 days ago by neck from Axel Bleue. Finds himself on a career-high mark now, however, and may face competition for the lead.
Bagheera Ginge
At his best when able to dominate and he's been well placed to win 3 of his last 6 starts. However, he has risen significantly in the handicap and was struggling when falling 3 out at Stratford last time.
Light N Strike (IRE)
Scored at Newton Abbot early last season for Emma Lavelle before good third in valuable handicap at this course. Form rather patchy for Mickey Bowen since but rejoined former yard now and figures off a handy mark. Market check advised.
A Definite Getaway (IRE)
Better than ever when winning back-to-back at Exeter/Hereford in spring of last year. Below that level in both outings since but is back down to a handy mark and is worth monitoring in the market with Sean Bowen aboard.
Axel Bleue
Point/dual bumper winner who came good at the third time of asking over fences at Worcester in July and has continued his progress since, landing 8-runner handicap chase at same course 23 days ago after a breathing operation. Just 4 lb higher here and is a leading player.
Gwash (IRE)
Not won for some time but matched his best hurdling form when runner-up to Axel Bleue at Worcester in July. Rather let down by his jumping at same course since, though. and others appeal more.
