Timeform View

FLORAL MAID produced a promising debut effort when staying on strongly for second in a C&D maiden 17 days ago, likely to have won in another few strides and pulling well clear of the remainder. Looking sure to improve, she holds leading claims of going one place better second time up. Mubehir is also handily drawn and may provide chief resistance with Woodvale, who makes appeal on paper, one to note in the betting for clues on debut.

Timeform Comments

Espresso Breeze
Foaled April 4. 16,000 gns foal, €10,000 yearling, Caturra colt. Half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 9f Patentar and 8.4f-10.4f winner Cipango. Dam 7f-1m winner. Yard 0-4 with their 2-y-o debutants this season and he's not ideally drawn in 11.
Harry Akoya
Foaled March 17. Harry Angel gelding. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. Yard's newcomers usually better for their initial experience.
Mubehir (IRE)
Son of Sioux Nation who left his opening pair of exploits in his wake when second of 10 in a C&D novice 5 weeks ago, noted keeping on over 1f out. Gelded thereafter and he's got a handy berth to work from in stall 4.
Woodvale
Foaled March 19. Mayson colt. Brother to smart winner up to 6f Ainsdale and half-brother to 6f winner Cale Lane and 5f winner Lyons Lane. Dam once-raced sister to very smart winner up to 7f Garswood. Appeals on paper and one to note in the betting for clues ahead of debut.
Aughavannon (IRE)
Inns of Court gelding who showed a bit at very long odds when eighth of 11 in a Carlisle novice (6f) on debut 3 weeks ago. Will need to step up plenty on that if he's to play a prominent role here, though.
Kompozitor
Son of Sergei Prokofiev who showed ability when seventh of 13 in a Redcar maiden (7f) 2 months ago, no extra final 1f having made a mid-race move. Gelded subsequently and this promises to reveal more.
Lord Bishop
Lope Y Fernandez gelding. 66/1, showed nothing when last of 13 in a Thirsk novice (6f) on debut 11 days ago.
Spectacular Diver (IRE)
Returned to something like his debut form when third in a C&D novice (5f) on first outing last month. However, merely added to a patchy record in 2 runs since, sixth of 8 in nursery at Catterick (6f) 8 days ago.
Youngheartsrunfree (IRE)
Foaled April 1. €15,000 yearling, Soldier's Call colt. Half-brother to 2 winners, including 5f winner Fortunate Star. Dam winner up to 6f (2-y-o 5f winner). Bred to be speedy but he's been done no favours with the draw ahead of racecourse bow.
Fancied Angel
Harry Angel filly. Dam, runner-up at 5f, half-sister to useful 7f-1¼m winner Queen of Time. 33/1, shaped like a longer-term project when fifth of 8 in a Lingfield novice (5f) 4 weeks ago. Tongue strap now applied.
Claudia Miss
Foaled February 15. Mattmu filly. Sister to 5f/6f winner Mattice and half-sister to 1¼m-1½m winner Cheap Jack. Dam 8.4f winner. Yard still to strike with a 2-y-o debutant at time of writing this season and she's probably best watched.
Floral Maid (IRE)
A real mix on breeding but looks to have inherited a fair chunk of her dam's stamina considering how well she saw things out when second in a heavy ground C&D maiden on debut 17 days ago, pulling a long way clear of the remainder. Sure to improve and big shout from good draw.
Justice Time (IRE)
Inns Of Court filly. Found to be amiss on debut but showed more of what she's about without being unduly punished when posting a fair fifth of 7 in a Wolverhampton novice (5f) 9 days ago. That ought not to prove her limit.
