Timeform View

The form of ANCHORS AWAY's latest run here is working out well and he could be worth chancing off a 6 lb lower mark. Doctor Grace, Jazz Forever and Without Love all make appeal returning to the all-weather.

Timeform Comments

Star Mind
Dual winner on the all-weather in the UK. Hasn't kicked on from her win at Leopardstown in April, very slowly away when well held at Brighton last time. Does at least benefit from an ease in grade (third in similar company here earlier in the year).
Syosset (IRE)
Sole success came in this grade here (1½m) last November. Arrives fit from a spell over hurdles (has been in reasonable heart) and is weighted to be competitive on return to the Flat.
Doctor Grace (IRE)
C&D winner who ended a long losing run at Roscommon in May. Well held at longish odds 3 completed starts since. Return of more established jockey suggests a bounce back could be on the cards, and she's potentially well treated off her lower all-weather mark.
Chloe's Boy (IRE)
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who got off the mark in similar company at Punchestown (9f) 3 days ago. Isn't fully exposed stepping back up in trip under a 7-lb penalty and could have a bit more to offer on all-weather bow.
Suerte (IRE)
Went as close as she has when runner-up in 6f novice here on second career start. Slow starts haven't helped her cause in 7f/1m turf handicaps of late. Still relatively lightly raced on this surface, though, could outrun her odds if staying the longer trip (sister to smart 9f winner).
Anchors Away (IRE)
Low mileage for his age. Best effort when third in a C&D maiden in January. Continued below form when beaten 10 lengths (second and third won since) in a handicap here last time, however, he's been given a handy 6 lb reprieve. Worth another chance from a useful-looking draw.
Wild Berries (IRE)
Speedily-bred sort who showed fair form as a juvenile. Hasn't gone on as expected in handicaps this year, weakening when beaten 5 lengths in first-time cheekpieces at Navan (9f) latest. First try over 1¼m here.
Aiteall (IRE)
€400,000 son of Wootton Bassett. Fared no better for the addition of a tongue strap/switch to handicap at Cork (1m) last time (again friendless in the betting). Foolish to totally discount given his pedigree/connections.
Jazz Forever (IRE)
Sole success came over C&D in April 2024. Close third in this grade at Navan in June. Struggling for form of late but looks interesting off a much-reduced mark on return to the all-weather.
Without Love
Opened his account over C&D in January. Nearly doubled his tally at Limerick earlier in the summer. Beaten 2½ lengths in Down Royal handicap latest and looks on a potentially handy mark if recapturing his best on all-weather return.
Whosethebestboy (IRE)
Low-mileage 6-y-o. Didn't offer much in first-time hood on return/stable debut at Navan (1m) latest. Hard to be confident on all-weather bow, even with Billy Lee booked.
Coul Dore (IRE)
Standout effort (in a first-time hood) when nearly making all at Fairyhouse in June. Wasn't revived by a first-time tongue strap at Down Royal last time. Well drawn off 3 lb lower here, though.
Onyeisi
Consistent performer on the all-weather for Charlie Johnston last winter. Largely struggled on turf for current connections, however, looks potentially well treated returning to this surface with usual blinkers back on.
He Knows When (IRE)
Maiden who hit the frame in 4 consecutive handicaps (including twice at this course) in 2023/24. Off for 26 months prior to finishing 10¾ lengths eighth of 21 at Navan (40/1) earlier this month. Should at least be better for that run.
Signor Ferrari (IRE)
Dual winner here in early-2025. Sent off favourite on third start back from an absence at Punchestown 3 days ago, finishing 3 lengths fifth to Chloe's Boy. Respected back on the all-weather. RESERVE
Alto Sax (IRE)
Has won twice in this grade already this year (including 1m handicap here). Gone close twice since, too, but found run of good form coming to a halt at Clonmel on Wednesday. RESERVE
