The lightly-raced POWDER MONKEY gets the vote to follow up from last time. Yaajooz wasn't beaten far on his latest outing and can go well again from the same mark, with Velvet Rhythm also worth a closer look.

Timeform Comments

Captain Parma (IRE)
Second success when seeing off 7 rivals at Chelmsford in February. Well held in handicap at York when last seen in May. Cheekpieces replace visor and market may be best guide after absence.
North View
Won on first outing for Stuart Williams at Chelmsford in January. Signed off with a pair of placed finishes but ran below form on stable debut at Brighton last month. Can build on that.
Havanagreattime (IRE)
Useful at best for Richard Hughes, winning at Newbury last spring before his form tailed off later in the season. Made a low-key start for this yard but stopped the slide at Newcastle last time and has something to build on having dropped further in the weights.
Velvet Rhythm
Back on the up to land a fourth win of the season at Catterick in July. Has been placed twice from last 4 starts since and can bounce back from a lesser effort on first all-weather start this season.
Ziggy's Condor (IRE)
Kept busy recently and placed at Doncaster and Southwell in August. Turned in one of lesser efforts with headgear left off at Newmarket last time. Has been given a short break.
Lerwick
Latest win at Ffos Las (7.5f) in August in first-time eyeshields. Wasn't in the same form over the same C&D 24 days later and remains well treated on old form.
Ash Wednesday
Four-time C&D winner. Looked to be returning to form heading into the spring but finished well held after 3 months off at Southwell in July, subsequently found to have bled. Others more persuasive.
King Of Ithaca
Successful twice at Southwell last season and wasn't in the same form after. Absent since April and is now 1 lb below last winning mark. The hood goes back on and any positive market vibes should be noted.
Powder Monkey (IRE)
Showed improved form to get off the mark in 11-runner handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 29 days ago. Up 5 lb but has few miles on the clock and has to be taken seriously with Loughnane back in the saddle.
Yaajooz (IRE)
Thirteen runs since recording sole win in 2024. Dropped to a career-low mark when third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (7f, 9/2) 13 days ago. Can make presence felt from same mark.
Kit Gabriel (IRE)
Course winner who hasn't won in eleven outings since 2025. Can have his latest run overlooked when last of 10 over this C&D in July. Market best guide.
G'emmethegreenlite (IRE)
In the frame on first 2 starts for Adrian Keatley last season but well held in 3 handicaps for current yard this year. Makes little appeal.
