GOIN' looks poised to strike on the back of an improved effort at Bellewstown last month. Backinabit is feared most if allowed the run of the race. Mother Ship, No Big Deal, Clanokre Lass and Jurality also need considering in a wide-open handicap.

Timeform Comments

King Of The Greys (IRE)
Made the frame sole outing in points. No show either handicap start, latterly dropped into this grade with first-time hood added at Kilbeggan in late-July.
Home By The Sea (IRE)
Hold-up performer. Again shaped as though this sort of mark may not be beyond him when beaten 9¾ lengths at Down Royal latest. Longer trip may help but no guarantee he benefits from run of the race this time, either.
Jurality
Most recent hurdle run was his best one when 6 lengths fourth at Bellewstown in April. Ridden more positively to win on Flat since, though did too much too soon in refitted blinkers (now removed) in handicap here last time. Could do better again back hurdling.
Goin'
Middle-distance winner on Flat (fair form for current yard). Back on the up in this sphere when smooth-travelling third in first-time hood/tongue strap at Bellewstown (2½m), only denied by ¾-length. Looks up to going one better.
Clanokre Lass (IRE)
Cheap purchase who looked more straightforward when 5½ lengths third in Down Royal maiden (17f) on qualifying run. Still early days for one from top yard and no surprise if she builds on that sent handicapping over longer trip.
No Big Deal (IRE)
Only 2 lb higher than when successful at Clonmel last October. Prominent in the betting when let down by his jumping on latest start there in October. Entitled to go close if firing on all cylinders following 5 months away.
Papagei
Showed more than previously over hurdles when 6½ lengths fifth on handicap bow at Sligo in July. Again well below his fairly useful best on the Flat later that month. Place claims if picking up where he left off back hurdling.
Bowgate Street (IRE)
Sole success came at Sligo in May. On another going day when 3½ lengths third in big-field handicap at Kilbeggan (19f, good) latest. In the mix if maintaining her rare consistent spell.
Mother Ship (IRE)
Long-standing maiden. Runner-up previous 2 handicap hurdle starts. Finished ahead of a couple of next-time-out winners before coming from a less-than-ideal position when beaten 4 lengths at Newton Abbot latest. High on the shortlist in her current vein of form.
Simpletwistoffaith (IRE)
Been a while since this maiden has offered anything in either sphere, however, needs a market check with Danny Mullins taking over following a pipe-opener last month.
Frontier Rose
Confirmed the improvement of her previous start when beaten 7½ lengths at Sligo (2¼m) last time. A 1 lb reprieve may not be enough to open her account, though.
Lariat
Long-standing maiden who went close off 2 lb higher at Listowel last May. Excuses both hurdle starts this year but underlined his inconsistency back on the Flat at Tramore latest.
Movie King (IRE)
Seemingly retains little ability following his latest lengthy absence.
Backinabit (IRE)
Won 17f handicap in first-time blinkers at Wexford in July. Made most until home turn when beaten 8¾ lengths at Bellewstown (17f) last time. Could last longer in change of headgear, in a race without an abundance of pace.
Magic Hands Noel (IRE)
Shown little at long odds in maiden hurdles. Promising claimer booked for handicap debut/return. Needs a market check.
Deal Again (IRE)
Has little worthwhile form and has presumably been difficult to train.
Amron Diamond (IRE)
Hit-and-miss maiden who made the frame in 2 handicaps for J. D. Motherway last season. Shaped as if in need of the run on stable debut at Clonmel in May. On a reasonable mark if ready to roll. RESERVE
Jolly Potter (FR)
Again showed little switched to a handicap/upped in trip at Ballinrobe (2¾m). Off for further 8 weeks since. RESERVE
Champagne Dawn (IRE)
Weak finisher who isn't certain to build on his reappearance at Cork last month, when soon done with after briefly moving into contention. RESERVE
