Timeform View

Bumper winner MOSSY WAY showed promise in a couple of maiden hurdles last season, particularly at Fairyhouse in a race which has worked out well, and is taken to make it third time lucky over timber. Emerald Enigma is the obvious danger, with today's longer trip likely to suit her. Airds Moss made a fairly encouraging start to his hurdle career at Killarney and completes the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Emerald Enigma traded at a low of 1.85 and Betfair SP of 1.95 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Airds Moss (IRE)
Promising individual. Bumper winner at Killarney in May. Fourth of 16 in maiden there (2m, good to soft) on hurdle debut 4 weeks ago. Up in trip. Likely to improve.
C Pas Possible (FR)
More one for handicaps after this based on his 2 efforts this summer.
Cap Bernat (IRE)
Modest form in bumpers and over hurdles and will surely find at least the odd one too strong.
I Can Find Em (IRE)
Runner-up in points but well held on Galway hurdle debut (2¾m, good to soft) in July. Can only watch after that.
Kalico Leader (IRE)
Made frame both completed starts in points. Shaped as if needing more of a test when fifth of 14 in maiden at Bellewstown (2½m, good) on hurdle debut 24 days ago.
Lengaruka (FR)
Has made steady progress in his 3 starts (third at Sligo latest) but more will be needed to go close here.
Morale Boost
Went the wrong way in points after debut success and no encouragement on Galway hurdle debut.
Mossy Way (IRE)
Pretty useful bumper winner and showed promise in 2 maiden hurdles in the spring, latterly third of 25 at Fairyhouse Irish Grand National meeting in a race which has worked out. Open to further progress.
Spill A Drop (IRE)
Dead-heated in a point. Tongue strap and cheekpieces on, showed ability when sixth of 12 in maiden at Downpatrick (2¾m, good, 33/1) on debut 67 days ago.
Staton (IRE)
Placed once from 3 starts in points but well held in maiden at Bellewestown on hurdling debut 24 days ago.
Who's Going (IRE)
First form when fourth of 16 in maiden at Roscommon (2½m, good to soft) 46 days ago but will need to step up again to get heavily involved here.
Emerald Enigma (IRE)
Won both bumpers in the spring. Turned over at 4/6 on 17f Cork hurdle debut last month but the experience should bring her on and the longer trip promises to suit.
Master Sydney (IRE)
Matched fair Flat form at the second time of asking over hurdles when third of 13 at Kilbeggan last month. Well held back on the Flat since but should be thereabouts back hurdling.
Pacy Macie (IRE)
Thrice-raced maiden under Rules. Best effort when fifth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Wexford (3m, soft) 22 days ago.
Pamelaisbrass (IRE)
Exposed as modest in bumpers and a watching brief is advised now hurdling.
Prophetess Miriam (IRE)
Held every chance when falling at the last on sole outing in points and runner-up first 2 of 3 starts in bumpers last season. However, she's achieved little in 3 hurdle starts this summer.
Game Theatre (IRE)
Point winner. Fourth of 9 in bumper at Clonmel (2½m, soft, 5/2) on Rules debut in April. In top hands and could play a prominent role if getting a run. RESERVE.
Woodie Wiley (IRE)
No short-term promise in bumpers and a maiden hurdle. RESERVE.
