Timeform View

If SHEREKIYA gets back to the form she showed when third in a Curragh handicap on her penultimate start she might prove the answer to this maiden. Ryefield Dasher has acquitted himself well in handicaps lately and is second choice ahead of Joseph O'Brien's Big Cypress. Colpe Cross could also play a prominent role if recapturing last year's form with her reappearance behind her.

Timeform Comments

Scorcher's Son
450,000 gns Too Darn Hot gelding from excellent family. Ran to similar level as on debut when 10 lengths sixth of 21 in Navan maiden (1¼m, good) 14 days ago. May not show his true potential until handicapping. Engaged 8.30 Dundalk Friday.
Big Cypress
In the frame in 7f maiden at Limerick and 1m maiden at Gowran this spring. Gelded since finishing fifth over 1¼m at Fairyhouse in June. Still time for him to come good for top stable.
Brigerbad (IRE)
Well beaten in maidens. Up in trip. Outsider.
Colpe Cross
Showed fair form in a trio of maidens at up to 1½m last summer. Off 13 months, shaped as if better for run when tenth of 18 in 1m Navan maiden 14 days ago. Big player if back to last year's form.
Rocket Robyn
Fair maiden. Bit below form ninth of 18 in handicap (18/1) at Cork (1½m, good to soft) 20 days ago. Back down in trip.
Ryefield Dasher (IRE)
Fair maiden. 12/1, good third of 15 in handicap at Roscommon (1½m, good to soft) 19 days ago. Back down in trip. Likely to be on the premises.
Steppinoncats (IRE)
From a useful family but no promise in 2 recent outings.
Storzando (IRE)
Lightly-raced gelding. Ran to a decent level when third at Down Royal in July but hasn't come close to reproducing it in 3 subsequent outings.
Suir Monad (IRE)
Fair form when reaching the frame on all 4 starts, most recently a handicap over 8.5f at Galway. The way he stuck to his task on that occasion suggests this longer trip may be within range.
Express Choise (IRE)
Twice-raced filly. Stepped up on debut when fifth of 6 in maiden at Tramore (1½m, good to soft) 35 days ago. Down in trip. Won't need to raise her game too much.
Jolie Cailin (IRE)
Showed ability on her debut at Gowran (1m) in May but well beaten at Navan 108 days later.
Sherekiya (IRE)
Hails from a quality Aga Khan family. Shaped well when close third of 13 in 1m handicap at the Curragh (good) last month. Not in the same form on softer ground at Cork since but might be worth another chance back in a maiden.
