Timeform View

STARLUST was best of the home team in the Nunthorpe and confirmed himself as still in good form despite being positioned away from the other principals at the Curragh last week. He can capitalise on the drop in grade at the chief expense of Redorange, who looks well up to making his presence felt in minor Group company. Diligent Harry can complete the 1-2-3.

Timeform Comments

Diligent Harry
Last year's Chipchase Stakes winner landed back-to-back listed race wins at Lingfield in February. Translated that form to turf with good in-frame efforts in the Abernant Stakes and the Minster Stakes but underwhelming when down the field in the most recent renewal of the Chipchase in June.
Naana's Sparkle
Has shown improved form for current yard this year, making it 2 wins from first 3 starts when scoring at Southwell in July. Collared only close home in 23-runner contest at Glorious Goodwood (5f) and swifty back on the up when winning a 6-runner handicap at the same C&D (heavy) 3 weeks ago.
Redorange
Built on an encouraging return at the Dante Meeting when scoring in ready fashion in a Windsor handicap later that month. Quickly back on track when taking a 5f York listed event in July and shaped better than the result having met trouble when mid-field in the Nunthorpe there last month.
Shagraan (IRE)
Dual listed winner last season for Michael Appleby and sound start for new yard when third in the Palace House. Hasn't quite built on that in 3 subsequent outings and cheekpieces are now applied.
Starlust
Lightly raced since winning the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in 2024 (briefly took up stud duties) but proved he still has plenty to offer when finding only Bacio too good in the Nunthorpe. Another good effort when in the frame in the Flying Five at the Curragh last week and he can go well again.
Aspect Island
Ran Redorange close in a York listed event in July but was a never-competitive eighth when stepped back up in grade in the King George Stakes at Goodwood (5f, good to firm) 50 days ago. Gelded since and he might need bit more to score in this company.
Dickensian
Advanced his form when making a winning return in a 5f listed race at York in May and produced his best effort since on the back of a breathing operation when length third of 9 to Extremely Zain in a 6f listed event there 13 days ago. Still needs to confirm he's as effective away from York.
Hallo Spaceboy
Son of Starman who bagged a 5f novice at Newcastle on final 2-y-o start. Shaped well when runner-up in 6f handicaps at Kempton and Ascot this year prior to justifying cramped odds in a 14-runner York handicap in June. Similar form when mid-field in a 14-runner event at Deauville last month.
Azure Angel
Bounced back to her best when resuming winning ways in listed event at Bath in April. Better form in defeat next 3 starts but unable to land a blow in much better company both starts since (almost unseated rider start at Goodwood penultimate outing). Now sports visor.
First Instinct
Career best when winning this last season. Faced quite stiff tasks over the minimum trip first 2 starts this season, before bouncing back to her best when close second in the Summer Stakes at York (6f) in July. Underperformed at Naas 4 weeks ago, though.
Miss Yechance (IRE)
Won twice for Jack Morland in Britain at 2 yrs, before bagging a Meydan handicap in January for A Cintra & Julio Olascoaga. Better than ever when blazing a trail from the front in a 19-runner handicap (9/1) at York (5f, good) 31 days ago and she's worth a crack at this higher grade.
