OLD IS GOLD has been rejuvenated by the fitting of a visor and can make light of a 5 lb weights rise and follow up his all-the-way Goodwood success. Waistcoat didn't enjoy the rub of the green at Windsor last time and can emerge as the main danger ahead of Sierra Sands and Quantum Power.

Timeform Comments

Old Is Gold (IRE)
Back on the up since the visor went on and made all in 7-runner handicap at Goodwood (6f, heavy) 11 days ago, closed down only late on having been well clear 2f out. Expected to be bang there despite 5 lb rise.
Quantum Power (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick in 5f handicap on July course here this summer. Not at his best when ninth of 18 in handicap at Goodwood (5f, good to firm) 30 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Sierra Sands (IRE)
Won 6f/7f handicaps on July course here this summer. Posted a good fourth of 7 on his all-weather debut at Kempton (7f) 17 days ago. Needs considering eased 1 lb.
Alaminos
A fair 6f maiden winner at 2yrs. Resumed with very good second in 6f Pontefract handicap in April but failed to build on that in 3 subsequent starts for Kevin Ryan. Starts out with another good yard here but more is required.
Waistcoat
Doubled his tally for the year in 6f handicap at Newbury in July. Left poorly placed and with little racing room in the closing stages when sixth of 8 at Windsor (6f, good to firm) last time so not out of things.
Saucy Jane
Isn't easy to catch right but readily made it 2 wins from her last 3 runs in 5-runner handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) last month. Hiked up 7 lb but well in the mix if on her A-game again.
Kohana Nation (IRE)
Made the most of a good opportunity when landing the odds in 4-runner novice at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) on his belated return but failed to back it up under more patient tactics when third of 6 on handicap bow at Salisbury (6f, good to soft) 29 days ago. Not written off after just 4 runs.
Enricher (IRE)
Came good in 6f maiden at Wolverhampton last August, but down the field in handicap over same trip at Leicester in early summer following a 10-month absence and struggling long way out at Southwell last time. Blinkers go on for first time after another break.
Akabusi
Scored over C&D in May for Mike Murphy. Back to form for his new yard with third of 12 in handicap at Yarmouth (6f, good) 3 days ago. Can make his presence felt again.
