Timeform View

BONNIE'S BOY shaped as if still in good form when fifth at York last time, nearest at the finish having been left poorly placed, so he could be ready to get back to winning ways returned to this venue. He gets the vote ahead of the in-form Style King, with Hundred Caps also considered.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Smart Vision has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Azuinthejungle
Enthusiastic sort who completed a hat-trick last summer and repeated the feat with success in 6-runner handicap at Thirsk last month. Wasn't discredited in his bid for the 4-timer when 2¼ lengths sixth of 13 over this C&D on latest outing.
Smart Vision
3-time winner in 2025 but struggled for form to start the current campaign. However, having slipped in the weights he has made the frame last 3 starts, over this C&D last month and at Doncaster 6 days ago. Now switches to a visor.
Hundred Caps
Added to his tally at Southwell (6f) in January and ran well when second next 2 outings, including at this course. Respectable efforts over 5f on turf the last twice, third of 11 at Hamilton 7 weeks ago, and he could go well back on all-weather following a breathing operation.
Goyard (IRE)
Successful twice at Ripon last summer and made an encouraging return when third in handicap at Pontefract in June. Hasn't gone on from that effort since, though, tried in tongue strap when down the field at Ripon (6f) last time. Makes all-weather debut.
Castan
4-time C&D winner who returned to his best when scoring at Southwell in April. After a couple of lesser efforts, shaped well when third at Beverley last month but followed that with a below-par effort back here.
American Bay
Without a win so far this year but placed on 3 occasions, the latest when runner-up at Redcar in June. Had excuses when well held at Haydock 15 days ago, denied a clear run, so he's not ruled out from below his last winning mark.
Bonnie's Boy
Gained a breakthrough success over this C&D in October last year. Has made the frame 3 times this season and did well from a poor draw when fifth of 21 at York (5.5f) 13 days ago. One to be interested in back here.
Style King (IRE)
Arrives in top form, making it 2 wins from his last 4 starts when scoring from the front at Lingfield 23 days ago. Can make another bold bid in his current mood.
Great
Successful twice this summer, with latest win at Pontefract in August. Has run poorly the last twice, though, well-beaten sixth of 12 at Beverley 20 days ago.
Blue Force (IRE)
After 3 months off, bounced back to winning ways at Wolverhampton (6f) in August. Ran creditably after a slow start when fourth of 9 at the same course (5f) 12 days ago, so he could be in the mix from what remains a workable mark.
