MOTAWAARED and Empirestateofmind dominated an Ayr handicap on Friday with the former taken to reverse the form this time if allowed to take his chance. Tee Aitch Aye has worked his way back to form of late and should be thereabouts again.

Timeform Comments

Draupnir
Placed twice at the start of the season at Thirsk and Hamilton and bounced back when ¾-length second of 7 to Yermanthere at Ripon (1¼m, good to soft) 19 days ago. Holds place claims again.
Tee Aitch Aye (IRE)
Fallen in the weights and back in very good form of late with the cheekpieces added and readily doubled his tally in 10-runner handicap at Hamilton (1m, soft, 7/4) 18 days ago by 3¾ lengths from Aurelune. Not taken lightly in follow-up bid from a 7 lb higher mark.
Epidavros (IRE)
Took this in 2024. Largely in good nick this season until coming in last of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (9f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Blinkers go on for first time with bounce back required.
Empirestateofmind (IRE)
Won twice last season and cashed in on drop in grade at Ayr on Friday. Must be considered if allowed to take his chance.
Motawaared
Quirky sort who is firmly knocking on the door of a first success. Again responded well to cheekpieces when only foiled by a game rival at Musselburgh 8 days ago. ANother excellent effort when second to Empirestateofmind at Ayr on Friday.
Sogniamo
Standout effort when winning C&D novice (80/1) on stable debut on reappearance in May. Needs a revival in first-time tongue strap and cheekpieces.
Ibn Altheeb (IRE)
Sole success came when fitted with first-time cheekpieces at Wolverhampton last autumn. Made the frame twice for this yard but has been well held on last 2 starts though will at least be suited by this drop back in trip.
Bradbury (IRE)
Not straightforward but recorded 1¼m wins at Leicester and Wetherby in June. Sixth of 8 in handicap at Nottingham (1¼m, good to firm, 7/2) in August. Has Loughnane back in the saddle.
Port Darwin (IRE)
Opened his account for the season over C&D with the headgear discarded and added to his tally at Brighton (1¼m) last month. Never made any impact after a slow start at Redcar (1¼m, good) 11 days ago.
