Timeform View

APRIL DIAMOND showed improved form when opening her account at Carlisle last month and she can build on that effort as she goes up in trip. She is taken to get the better of Little Ted, who should be thereabouts once more back down in grade, with Hostelry also in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Little Ted traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

April Diamond (IRE)
Lightly raced 5-y-o who got back on the up when winning 10-runner handicap at Carlisle (7f) a month ago, knuckling down well. Up in trip and could be capable of scoring again now that she's up and running.
Daring Leader (IRE)
Capitalised on a falling mark under a positive ride at Pontefract in June. However, has failed to repeat that effort in 2 subsequent outings, down the field at Newcastle 16 days ago. Cheekpieces now go back on.
Hostelry
Got off the mark for the year in classified event at Ayr last month and has continued in good heart in 2 handicaps since, runner-up at Beverley 5 days ago despite meeting trouble. Can make her presence felt.
Toy Soldier (IRE)
Fair form in handicaps in Ireland in the first half of the year, runner-up at around 7f both starts in June. Has made a low-key start for current yard, though, fifth of 10 over this C&D 19 days ago.
Little Ted
Quirky sort but arrives in decent heart with in-frame efforts on his last 3 starts, again finding only one too strong in 8-runner handicap at Ayr 3 days ago. Drops back in grade here so he enters calculations.
Millbuie
Long-standing maiden who has placed 4 times in classified events this summer, the latest when third at Ayr (1m) last month. However, found things tougher back in handicap company when well held at Newcastle (1¼m) 19 days ago.
Hale Bopp (IRE)
Useful handicapper in Ireland in his prime, though without a win now for 3 years. Making first run since leaving P. Sweeney, was well backed but finished only sixth of 8 at Musselburgh 9 days ago. Interesting to see if the support returns.
