Timeform View

Only a few make any real appeal in this low-grade handicap with BAY BREEZE taken to regain the winning thread having dropped to a dangerous mark. Edmond Halley and Lesley's Boy make most appeal of the rest.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Edmond Halley traded at a low of 2.00 and Betfair SP of 3.20 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Winter Crown
Made a winning stable debut at Newcastle last November but form went the wrong way after his next start. Off 8 months and may have needed the run at Catterick 13 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere.
Lesley's Boy
Not won since his 2-y-o days and continues to fall in the weights but stopped the slide when making the frame over C&D 19 days ago. Needs to build on that.
Bay Breeze
Fourteen runs since last win in 2025. Has had a rather low key season but kickstarted his campaign with a close third at Carlisle 12 days ago. Lurks on a dangerous mark and goes well in the mud.
Ottawa
Has struggled this season but stopped the slide when fourth at Catterick last time. Sole success came with cheekpieces on and they are refitted here, and now needs to back that last run up.
Edmond Halley (IRE)
Fair form at best in Ireland for Kieran Patrick Cotter and shaped well since joining new yard, though didn't seem at home going-right handed when fifth of 10 in handicap at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) 27 days ago. Returns to 6f and appeals as the type to bounce back.
Cape Sovereign (IRE)
Left Kevin Ryan and in first-time tongue strap, shaped as if needed run when tenth of 12 in handicap at Carlisle (5f, good to soft, 33/1) 12 days ago. Appeals as best watched unless market speaks otherwise.
Impressor (IRE)
Veteran who won over 5f this time last year. Has been struggling for form of late, but he's potentially very well handicapped now, even on the form he showed as recently as June. Engaged 3.00 Hamilton Sunday.
Sovereign Class (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. Possibly needed run after 7 months when down the field at Redcar 12 days ago. Others preferred.
Summerstorms Dream (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 15 runs. Beaten less than 2 lengths but only finished seventh of 11 at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Habitual slow starter and others make more appeal.
