Course winner HAPPIER was a ready scorer for Toby Moore at Kempton last week and makes plenty of appeal in her follow-up bid. Son of Astar and Call Time are feared most.

Timeform Comments

Happier (IRE)
Notched back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton and this course (5f) in recent months and got back on the scoreboard in 12-runner handicap at Kempton (6f, 2/1) under this rider 7 days ago. Looks well in under a 5 lb penalty.
Counting Cards
Lightly-raced gelding who displayed promise initially for Ed Bethell but has largely struggled this year, including in a couple of starts for new connections this summer. Cheekpieces on first time.
Manhattan Mirage (IRE)
Still looking for first success and hasn't done enough in either outing this term to make him of interest here. Cheekpieces on first time.
Connie's Rose
Multiple Chepstow winner but she's been operating below her best in recent starts, well held in 5f handicap at that course 3 weeks ago. Others preferred.
Son Of Astar
Posted best effort of 2026 when winning 6-runner handicap at this course (5f, good) 24 days ago, cosily. 3 lb rise fair if in same mood again here.
Up The Anti (IRE)
Three-time winner in 2025 and made the frame twice on all-weather early this year. Disappointed since, though, including on recent return from 4-month absence at Bath.
Call Time (IRE)
On a losing sequence but shaped well when third at this course (5f) last month and not seen to best effect (bumped start) at Bath since. Needs considering.
Bama Lama
Not successful since 2024 and made little impact in a trio of starts this year. Hard to fancy. 1 lb out of the weights.
