Timeform View

Ross Burdon's new recruit GIFTS DIFFERING caught the eye when a promising second at Newcastle last time and can go build on it to go one better here off just a 1 lb higher mark. The Anthony Gover looks the main threat on the back of his cosy C&D success, while John Harrison and Chesneys Charm need factoring in for minor honours.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The Anthony Gover traded at a high of 5.00 and Betfair SP of 5.10 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Green Team (FR)
A 3-time winner for Ian Williams and, making third start for current yard, took advantage of a career-low mark when scoring under this rider here in May. Beat only one in handicap at Windsor (11.5f, good to firm) after 10 weeks off last time though.
Chesneys Charm
Course winner. Posted an encouraging third for his new yard at Redcar last month and suffered a very poor run when seventh of 9 there (1¼m, good) 12 days ago. Not one to dismiss.
Volto Di Medusa (IRE)
Won 1m handicap at Lingfield in June and bounced back to form with blinkers refitted when second here and a close sixth at Southwell (1m) on his last 2 runs. No forlorn hope.
Look Back Smiling (IRE)
Still winless since taking the Spring Mile in 2024. Twice placed for new yard this summer, blinkered for first time when a creditable third of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (1m) 16 days ago. Needs to build on it.
The Anthony Gover
Built on earlier promise to gain a first win in 11-runner handicap over C&D 2 weeks ago. Up 3 lb but scored cosily there and another bold showing is on the cards.
Boy Named Sioux (IRE)
Won 7f Southwell novice in November but hasn't gone on since, beating one at Southwell (1m) 3 weeks ago. Easy to oppose in a refitted hood.
Harbour Vision
Has won 11 times at this course, recording back-to-back successes over 7f here in the winter. In just fair form when last seen here in June and will probably come on for this run over a much longer trip.
John Harrison
Time Test gelding has resumed from 6 months off with a trio of good placed efforts, third of 5 in handicap at Ffos Las (1m, good to firm) last time. Must enter calculations back up in trip in his bid for a breakthrough victory.
Al Za'ama (IRE)
Undistinguished in 3 Flat runs for Andrew Balding and pulled up on hurdle debut for new yard in July. Has had a breathing operation ahead of this return to the Flat.
Gifts Differing
Failed to make the frame for James Ferguson but shaped well on her second start for new yard with second of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (1¼m) 19 days ago, collared late having quickened to front last 1f. Big shout nudged up 1 lb.
Venturing (IRE)
Little in the way of promise after 6 starts, last of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) 34 days ago. Makes tapeta debut in a first-time tongue tie.
Lady Delila (IRE)
Long-standing maiden. Back to form in refitted cheekpieces for new yard when fourth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (1m) 19 days ago. Needs to back it up with headgear retained.
