Timeform View

WIE WUNDERBAR looked ahead of her opening mark when making a winning handicap debut at Naas 29 days ago and, with further improvement likely for her new yard, is taken to defy a 5 lb rise. Love Orchid is going the right way and knocking on the door, so rates the main danger, while the unexposed Priorstown and Gavin Cromwell's Espritroyale are also respected.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Wie Wunderbar traded at a high of 7.00 and Betfair SP of 9.60 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Mr Ballynonty (IRE)
Showed plenty to work on when third in extended 1¼m maiden at Navan on debut but hasn't built on that in 3 outings since, including in 1m handicap at Galway on latest. Dropped 6 lb and first-time tongue strap applied but didn't get home on first try at this trip in June.
Theorist (IRE)
Promise both starts last year, improving from debut when third in 14-runner maiden at Dundalk (1m) in December. Well beaten in 2 turf maidens in the spring, though, and now tackles a longer trip switched to handicaps on debut for a new yard.
Jp's Express (IRE)
Won 8.5f handicap in July and turned in best effort since when 3¾ lengths third of 14 to Aquilla Star over same C&D 13 days ago. Shaped as if worth a try over further that day but this represents quite a marked step up in trip.
Montevetro (IRE)
800,000 gns yearling who showed promise amidst inexperience when runner-up in maiden at Chelmsford on debut in March but hasn't kicked on since, including on debut for new connections last time (bought for just 20,000 gns). Plenty to prove now upped in trip on handicap debut.
Wie Wunderbar
Placed twice in Germany for Sarah Steinberg and made the perfect start for current connections when winning 11f handicap at Naas in August by 1¾ lengths from Sinbad My Dad. The second has franked the form since and, though up 5 lb, she's totally unexposed as a middle-distance handicapper.
Rodeo Blues (IRE)
Blue Point filly who was always holding on when landing a double at Naas (11f) in early-June. Has shaped as if still in form without threatening to add to those successes in 2 starts since and tendency to hang left under pressure is an increasing concern.
Tanzanite Diamond (IRE)
Hit the frame in a pair of maidens at Fairyhouse in June, but has gone the wrong way since and is hard to fancy unless the market states otherwise.
Canon Law (IRE)
Winner at Sligo in August and showed further improvement when narrowly beaten by Coulstys Way in handicap at Galway. Up another 12 lb in the weights now, though, and further progress needed if he's to feature.
Espritroyale (IRE)
Fair maiden that was runner-up in 10.5f handicap at Down Royal in June and then backed that up when chasing home Vantage Code in 1¾m event at Galway the following month. Ran poorly last time, though, and needs to bounce back to best
Good Man Jack (IRE)
Maiden who hasn't kicked on in handicaps at around 1m on last 2 starts. Improvement needed now back up in trip.
Love Orchid (IRE)
Has improved since stepping up in trip last 2 starts, chasing home A Pretty Penny in 1½m event at Tramore before taking another step forward when ¼ lengths third of 18 to Sunrush in 1¾m event at Navan on latest. One to take seriously.
Priorstown (IRE)
Left previous efforts behind in first-time cheekpieces and upped in trip when landing 16-runner 1½m handicap at Roscommon 3 weeks ago by 1¼ lengths from Glen Echo. Up 5 lb and cheekpieces now removed but still unexposed.
Nottooshabby (IRE)
Brought along with handicaps in mind in maidens, catching the eye on more than one occasion. Remains open to improvement now making handicap bow but marked step in trip is a complete unknown and not an obvious move on pedigree.
Parish Team (IRE)
Mid-division in maiden and handicaps but has been given a chance by the assessor and no surprise were he to fare better here for all others are preferred.
Henry Hudson
Brought along gradually in a trio of maidens but failed to make an impact in a claimer last time and has a bit to prove now handicapping and upped further in trip.
Cascade Canyon (IRE)
Improved for application of cheekpieces when an 8-length second of 10 in handicap at Sligo (13.3f, good to soft) in August, but failed to back that up at Navan last time. RESERVE.
Queen Of Astolat (IRE)
Maiden handicapper, who has yet to fire for current connections but took a step back in the right direction when 4¼ lengths seventh of 14 to Mare Crisium at Clonmel last time. RESERVE.
Premier Princess (IRE)
Little show in 5 starts to date. Headgear discarded. Engaged 2.18 here Sunday. RESERVE.
