FLASHY BOY would have completed a quick-fire Newton Abbot double last week had he not made a couple of bad mistakes and clearly thriving from his low base, he makes lots of appeal. This represents a drop in class for Yes Day and he's the obvious alternative.

Flashy Boy traded at a low of 1.59 and Betfair SP of 4.70 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Yes Day (IRE)
Proving more consistent than usual but extended his losing run to 13 all the same when fourth at Worcester a month ago, already held when making a mistake 2 out. Eases in grade here so he really should be a factor.
Ballynaheer (IRE)
Quickly resumed winning ways at Market Rasen (3m) in April but that was a decidedly weak affair and he's failed to beat a rival both starts later in the spring. Had a breathing operation ahead of return but assessor looks to have him (runner-up from 14 lb lower in this race a year ago).
Balkardy (FR)
Completely lost his form after winning over hurdles at Ffos Las in June 2025 but refitting of headgear back over fences helped him stop the slide when runner-up at Newton Abbot in July (3¼m). Was flattered by proximity to the winner on that occasion and profile isn't convincing.
Flashy Boy (IRE)
Confirmed the promise of his Stratford run when off the mark under Rules at Newton Abbot in August. Should probably have followed up back there on Friday, held back by a couple of significant errors and he remains one to be very positive about at this level.
