ROND POINT showed promise in a race that's working out well at Galway in July and is taken to become the latest to frank that form by making his second start under Rules a winning one. New Grange, a winner of his sole outing in points, is a notable Rules newcomer and needs taking very seriously, especially if the market vibes are strong. Back In Favour is sure to be suited by this step up in trip and is also feared.

Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Inch House (2¾m-3m winner, by Ocovango). Fell sole start in points back in May 2025 and shaped like a stayer switched to a bumper when third in 11-runner event at Kilbeggan (2m) last month. Likely to improve over this longer trip.
Justice Hall (IRE)
Maxios gelding. Closely related to fair hurdler Getabelle, stayed 2¾m. Unplaced completed starts in points (latest May 2026).

8-y-o who offered little when ninth of 16 in maiden hurdle at Killarney (2m, good to soft) on belated debut last month. Up in trip making a quick switch to a bumper.
Mega Shoc (IRE)
€3,800 3-y-o, Sholokhov gelding. Dam (h85), lightly raced over hurdles, sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 2½m) Adreamstillalive and half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 2¾m) Charlie's Vic. A cheap purchase and probably best watched unless the betting suggests otherwise.

£80,000 purchase after finishing runner-up on completed start in points and offered something to work on despite proving easy to back when fourth of 16 in 2¼m bumper at Galway (good to soft) on Rules debut 55 days ago. That form has worked out reasonably well and he must enter calculations.
Through The Storm (IRE)
Showed a bit on bumper debut but well held since, including over hurdles. Stamina an obvious concern stepping up to 2½m on return to this sphere.
Well Bud (IRE)
Failed to complete on either start in points but shaped with some encouragement on his bumper debut at Killarney in May. Failed to repeat that effort in a similar event 9 weeks later and was in need of the experience switched to hurdles at same venue latest.
Young Doran (IRE)
Backed at long odds and shaped well under a patient ride when second of 15 in maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe (2¾m, good) on debut in May. Ran to a similar level when third at Downpatrick 11 weeks later and merits consideration now switching to a bumper.
Derrymore Jack (IRE)
Valirann gelding. Dam, ran twice in bumpers, half-sister to fair 21f hurdle winner Once And Always.
New Grange (IRE)
€78,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam (b71) lightly raced in bumpers out of fairly useful 2¾m-25f hurdle winner Tweedledrum. Won sole start in points in February and of obvious interest on Rules debut with Patrick Mullins booked.
Back In Favour (IRE)
Took 6 attempts to get off the mark in points. Showed more than first time up in this sphere when third in 6-runner event at Galway (2m, good to soft) 52 days ago, plugging on. Longer trip bound to suit and has to be feared.
Chanson D'argent (IRE)
Kingston Hill mare. Dam (h113), bumper/2m hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3¼m) Ballyarthur and fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 33f) My Gift To You (by Kingston Hill). Wears hood.
