TAMARIND BAY continues to go from strength to strength and still looks ahead of his mark despite a 9 lb hike for his facile Bangor victory so can garner success number 4 of the season for last year's winning connections. The Real Whacker could get his own way in front and rates the main danger from a career-low chase mark for his in-form yard, while the thriving Breizh River can also play a prominent role in a cracking handicap chase.

Charlie Hall winner at Wetherby in 2024 but has largely found life tough since. Much better signs when third of 10 over C&D (good to soft) in June, going with enthusiasm in refitted cheekpieces and collared only late. Blinkers on now from career-low mark and he could get his own way in front.
King Of Answers (IRE)
Made great strides as a novice chaser last season when twice a winner at Kelso before an excellent second of 17 in National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham Festival (3¾m). Pulled up on final run in Scottish Grand National at Ayr but interesting on pick of last season's novice form. Yard quiet though.
Etalon (IRE)
Course winner who responded well to a combination of cheekpieces and an attacking ride when landing handicap at Ascot (19f) in December. Resumed from a break with a solid third of 7 at Newton Abbot (21f, good to soft) in May. This much longer trip asks a big question though.
Tamarind Bay (IRE)
Has proved a different model since switched to fences, scoring with ease at Stratford and Uttoxeter in June. Looked likely winner when unseating late on here (form franked) before impressively resuming winning ways at Bangor (3m, good) 19 days ago. Hiked up 9 lb but the one to beat again.
Boston Rover (IRE)
Irish chaser who progressed well over fences last autumn, completing a hat-trick at Gowran (2½m) in October. Resumed from 9 months off with fifth in Midlands National at Kilbeggan but pulled up in handicap chase at Killarney (21f, good to soft) since. Has a bit to prove now.
El Rio (IRE)
Much improved switched to fences in 2024/25, winning 3 of his 5 starts. Off (reportedly struck into) since a reappearance third in handicap chase at Market Rasen (21f, good) 12 months ago. This likeable front runner is capable fresh but this is still no easy ask.
Breizh River (FR)
Front runner who gained a third win since joining Tristan Davidson with a game display at Cartmel (21f) in June. Subsequently ran a cracker when third of 13 in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen (21f, good to firm) in July. Well in the mix again in a headgear change off an unchanged mark.
Caughtinyourtrance (IRE)
Versatile sort who has returned better than ever, following up his narrow success in small-field Cartmel chase (25f) with a gutsy win in handicap hurdle (2¾m) there. Posted a very good second of 5 back chasing at the same track (25f, good to soft) last time. Considered.
Walk On Quest (IRE)
Landed the odds in 3-runner chase at Kelso (23f) in May. Got back on track with second of 7 in handicap chase over C&D in July but needs to back it up now in this more exacting company. Stable without a win in over 2 months too.
