GALWAY REEL was no match for Huckleberry Sting over C&D in July but now meets that rival on 12 lb better terms now setting out for Olly Murphy, so it's reasonable to believe he can reverse the form and land this race for a second year running. Veteran Ribeye also has a more favourable weight pull with Huckleberry Sting and is second choice.

Strong-travelling sort who made it 2 wins from as many visits to Market Rasen in 6-runner handicap chase (21f) in August, hard held. Came unstuck from a 6 lb higher mark at Stratford subsequently, reverting to finding less than seemed likely, but can't be taken lightly back at this venue.
Ribeye
Veteran who confirmed his return to form from his reduced mark when ½-length second of 6 to reopposing Huckleberry Sting here (21f, good to firm) 6 weeks ago. Meets that rival on 5 lb better terms here and must enter calculations.
Galway Reel (IRE)
Benefited from a strong pace when opening his account in this corresponding event last year and returned to form reverting to this sphere when 1¾ lengths second of 9 to reopposing Huckleberry Sting over C&D in July. Since made a notable yard switch and is also now 12 lb better off with that rival.
Pawpaw
Not the easiest to catch right but was on a going day when running out a wide-margin winner of a desperately weak affair at Hereford (25f) in February 2025. However, ran one of his moody races back from 18 months off at Fontwell recently and it's anyone's guess what mood he will turn up in here.
Just Keeps Rolling (IRE)
Winning pointer but has shown nothing in 4 starts over hurdles, pulling up on the first 3. Needs to prove a totally different proposition over fences.
Deadly Missile (IRE)
Returned to the pick of his form when off the mark over fences at the thirteenth attempt in 3¼m handicap at Uttoxeter in July last year. Posted a solid third under a penalty back there despite going about things in a typically laboured fashion, but a 14-month absence is an obvious concern.
Hardy Buck (IRE)
Made the perfect start for Max Comley when capitalising on a much-reduced mark over hurdles at Exeter (23f) in December. More miss than hit subsequently, though got back on track reverted to chasing with the aid of a soft lead when second of 6 in 3¼m handicap at Newton Abbot last month.
Fane Court (IRE)
Winning Irish pointer who went close to opening his account under Rules in 6-runner handicap hurdle at Worcester (23f) in July, edged out on line. Reached the places again at Bangor 8 weeks later but made mistakes which doesn't augur well ahead of this return to chasing. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.
Fast Deal
Hasn't shown much for a long time now and is easy enough to oppose from out of the weights again.
