Born Bright (IRE)
Dual-winning hurdler in 2024/25 and matched that feat over the larger obstacles last season. Acquitted herself well under both codes this season and ought to give another good account here.
Tullybeg (IRE)
On a lengthy losing run and no obvious sign he's in the form to snap it.
Toor Khov (IRE)
Made a successful debut over fences at Thurles (21f) in January. Ended last season with creditable placed efforts over hurdles at Cork. First run for 174 days.
Ira Hayes (IRE)
Fortunate winner of beginners chase at Tramore (2¾m) in April. Has advanced his form since but latest Kilbeggan effort was disappointing.
Mister Pink (IRE)
Useful novice hurdler in 2024/25 for Willie Mullins. Lightly raced for this yard in chases, running poorly in a novice at Wexford when last seen at the end of June. Up in trip.
Harbour Highway (IRE)
In good heart over fences for most of the spring, winning an amateur handicap at Leopardstown before twice finishing runner-up. Creditable sixth of 19 back hurdling at Galway (2¾m, good to soft) in July. First-time visor replaces cheekpieces.
Illtakehimmyself (IRE)
Low-mileage 5-y-o who deservedly got off the mark over hurdles when landing a 15-runner extended 2½m handicap at Killarney in July. Promising start to chase career when fourth of 11 at Killarney (21f, good to soft) last month. Open to improvement and one of 2 likely contenders for Eric McNamara.
Whateys Quest (IRE)
Largely in good form last winter but ran no sort of race at Kilbeggan (2½m, good) when last seen in May. Cheekpieces are refitted on return. Would need to see market support to consider.
Justatan (FR)
Dual point winner. Still a maiden under Rules but that shouldn't remain the case for too long judged on his near miss on Galway chase debut (23f, soft) 19 days ago. Likely to progress, particularly at this longer trip.
Dorans Law (IRE)
One of his better recent efforts when second over fences at Wexford (25f) in July. Has failed to complete over hurdles on last 2 starts ahead of his return to the larger obstacles.
Hees Dynamite (IRE)
A 5-time winner, including over fences. Good reappearance second of 16 in handicap hurdle at Killarney in July. Down the field at Galway next time but looked back in better form when fifth of 14 returned to Killarney since. Respected off lower chase mark.
Le Grand Vert (FR)
Nearly bagged a third chase win of the year at Cartmel in June. Not so good since (mainly over hurdles) but feasibly handicapped back chasing.
Casey West (IRE)
Winless since January 2024 but he recorded a solid third of 6 in handicap chase at Limerick (23f) when last seen in March. Cheekpieces return for reappearance.
King Ferdinand (IRE)
All-or-nothing sort that has gone with no encouragement since returning from a lengthy absence.
