ZAFAAN does have to prove his stamina for this far on the Flat but arrives on the back of a recent hurdle win and has the services of Billy Loughnane. Trojan Truth makes life awkward for himself with his slow starts but has a bit of class for this grade and is second choice ahead of Wonderful Wendy.

Typically slowly away but recorded a turf hat-trick last summer. Placed on 4 occasions this year but never a threat after another very slow start here (1½m) 10 days ago. Blinkers back on. More than capable off this mark but comes with risks.
Lednikov
Landed a sixth Southwell in March but has rarely threatened the judge since, including well held back at Southwell on latest start 3 weeks ago.
Wonderful Wendy
Improved second on handicap debut at Chepstow (1½m) in June. Hasn't reproduced that level in 2 subsequent outings but she has fewer convictions than most at this level.
Zafaan (IRE)
Landed a 1¼m Yarmouth classified race in June and arrives on the back of a hurdle win at Worcester (2m) in this headgear combination 24 days ago. Likely to have a big say under Loughnane if stamina holds over the longest trip he's tackled on the Flat.
Baileys Warrior
Dual 2m all-weather winner in 2024, including here. Back on track when 3½ lengths third of 9 over 1½m at Chepstow on return in June but not in the same form back there since.
Billingsgate Gold
Lightly-raced maiden. Could only manage a well-held seventh of 13 on handicap debut at Windsor (11.5f, good to soft) 30 days ago but has fewer convictions than the rest of these. The cheekpieces she's worn the last twice are now left off and replaced by a first-time tongue tie.
Bigz Belief (IRE)
Drawn a blank since a Sligo hurdle success in June 2023 but he was second in a 1½m course handicap for Fergal O'Brien in March. Also runner-up on Jersey for new trainer last month.
Late Claim (FR)
Sole success came on handicap bow at Lingfield last December. Looked back in form when third switched to classified company at Ayr in June but little impact back in handicaps since.
Dijon Gone
Returned to form when creditable second of 13 in handicap at Windsor (11.5f) last month but not in the same form when sixth at Epsom since. Steps up in trip now tackling tapeta for the first time.
Long Reign
Half-brother to a useful sort but has yet to show much, including on Pontefract handicap debut just 4 days ago. First-time cheekpieces need to spark improvement.
