STEEL RAVEN has been progressing well since upped to 1¼m+ on the Flat and appeals as the type to take well to hurdling. He's preferred to Jerseygeordie, who made much more impact tried over hurdles than in a handful of starts on all-weather for Jamie Osborne when third at Newton Abbot last month, form which has already been franked by the first 2. Watcha Snoop may prove best of the rest.

Well held in 1m Kempton maiden on sole outing on the Flat for Andrew Balding in late 2025 but is a half-brother to 4 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Plinth (2m-2¾m winner, by Montjeu), so it's reasonable to believe he could do better now his attentions are switched to hurdling.

Showed nothing in a handful of starts on all-weather for Jamie Osborne but made more impact tried over hurdles after 6 months off when third of 7 in a Newton Abbot juvenile (17f, good) 22 days ago. That form has since been franked by the pair that finished ahead of him, so has to be of interest.
Keep Under Wraps
Son of Massaat who didn't go unsupported but ran out 2 from home (a length in front at time) on Newton Abbot hurdling debut in June. However, sent off 25/1 when well beaten at Uttoxeter since.
Steel Raven (IRE)
Fairly useful 1¼m winner on Flat (stays 11f) who ran really well when second in 11-runner handicap at Ayr (1¼m, soft) 12 days ago, finishing with running left. Likely type for juvenile hurdling.
Time Twister
Modest form in 1¼m handicaps on Flat. Given a considerate introduction to hurdling when fourth of 6 in same race contested by Watcha Snoop at Cartmel (17f) in August and likely to be brought along gradually.
Watcha Snoop (IRE)
Regressive sprinter on Flat and his second on hurdling debut at Cartmel (17f) last month probably says more about the worth of the race overall. Remains to be seen if he's able to build on that.
Royal Baroness
Poor maiden at up to 1m on the Flat who makes little appeal on this switch to hurdling.
