PLAYIN COOL has contested some warm handicaps this year and shaped encouragingly in the Irish Cambridgeshire last month. With his sights lowered after a 3 lb drop in the weights he could be set to play a prominent role. Karrygrant and Daler are big dangers.

Karrygrant might not get things all its own way near the head of affairs but shouldn’t be held back by that alone: Playin Cool might not benefit from being ridden as far back as usual for all the gallop is likely to be a reasonable one.

Lightly raced but useful at best for Charlie Appleby. Picked up for £64,000 by this yard but hasn't shown much in 2 runs for them.
Victory Tip (IRE)
Successful debut at the Curragh in March. Thrown in at the deep end for handicap debut in the Britannia at Royal Ascot latest start and found little off the bridle. Not seen since but remains unexposed.
Hellorhighwater
Progressive form in maidens for Gavin Cromwell last season, getting off the mark in C&D contest in September. Successful return for new stable at Limerick in April and this is easier than the Irish Cambridgeshire he contested on his only start since.
Lady Lilac (IRE)
Fairly useful filly who shaped as if back in form when third of 9 in handicap at Down Royal in June, seeming stretched by the 10.4f trip. Stiff task in first-time blinkers at Galway since and this is more her level.
Daler (IRE)
Doubled his tally in 15-runner handicap at Leopardstown (9f) in June in first-time cheekpieces and has held his form well since. Can give another good account.
Playin Cool (IRE)
Low mileage 4-y-o shaped well again when fifth in the Irish Cambridgeshire last month, probably not ideally placed having sat off what was just an ordinary gallop. Interesting after a 3 lb drop.
Oro Blanco (IRE)
Won 7f Fairyhouse maiden and 6f Naas novice (match) in June. Failed to justify strong market confidence but posted another creditable effort when third at the Curragh on Saturday, albeit once more looking less than straightforward under pressure. Tongue tie goes on back up in trip.
Son Of Beauty (IRE)
Winner of 1m maiden at Dundalk in March and had been running well in handicaps until a poor effort when sent off favourite at Gowran (9.5f) in June. Not ruled out after a break.
Karrygrant (IRE)
Odds on and placed once again when beaten just a nose in 1m Bellewstown maiden 5 weeks ago, a bit disappointing he couldn't get the job done having got to the front. Tongue tie goes on for handicap debut and probably set to make another bold bid.
