Lightly-raced bumper winner. Improved again to open his hurdle account in 3m handicap at Uttoxeter in May, travelling well/jumping better than previously. Takes on some fairly exposed rivals on his return and can go well despite the drop back in trip.
Spot On Soph (IRE)
Smooth-travelling mare. Notched a fourth career hurdle success when quickening to land a solid mares handicap on return at Sedgefield latest. Will need to defy a career-high mark to make it 2-2 under this claimer, though.
Rock Hurley (FR)
Front runner who had the run of things when notching a second Bangor success (23f) in June. Jumped better than often the case when back to form there last time, finishing well-backed second (beaten 2½ lengths) under today's claimer. Leading chance if repeating that form away from his regular course.
Italian Spirit (IRE)
Clearly been one with issues since winning bumper/maiden for Olly Murphy earlier in his career. Standout effort last season when runner-up in soft-ground handicap chase at Ffos Las in April. Hard to be confident back hurdling for yard without a win in 6½ months.
