Timeform View

The betting should prove highly informative here but Ed Walker's METICULOUSLY shaped with promise when a debut fourth at Leicester and this well-related son of Sioux Nation can build on it to thwart Ralph Beckett's New Bay newcomer Forest Bay, who appeals on pedigree. Gold Army has the form to play a prominent role, while Does Mary Know is not out of things if shrugging off a lesser effort at Ascot.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Gold Army traded at a low of 2.72 and Betfair SP of 3.55 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Ardansoft
Foaled April 11. 6,000 gns yearling, Ardad colt. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to useful 7f/1m winner Substantial out of smart 7f/1m winner Sentaril. Cheaply bought and the betting should reveal plenty.
Astralite (IRE)
Looked in need of the experience when a debut fifth in valuable Ascot maiden (6f) in July and given a patient ride when a never-nearer fifth of 11 in maiden at Windsor (6f, good to firm) following month. Capable of better, especially once qualified for nurseries.
Does Mary Know
Dark Angel colt shaped well when a clear second in 6f novice at Ripon in August. Last of 7 in similar event at Ascot (6f, good) 27 days ago, however. Worth another chance.
Gold Army
Intello colt who has shaped with promise when twice placed over 7f in novice company at Kempton this summer, collared only late on when second of 10 on latter occasion. Holds solid form claims.
Lucky Test
Foaled April 26. Time Test gelding. Brother to 1½m winner Kate The Cook. Dam, 1¼m-1¾m winner, is a half-sister to useful winner up to 1¼m Opera Baron. A considered newcomer, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Meticulously
Sent off 22/1 but made a promising debut amidst greenness when fourth of 9 in novice at Leicester (7f, good) 23 days ago. This well-related Sioux Nation colt seems sure to progress. Player.
Playfull Warrior (IRE)
Took a big step forward from his debut when fifth of 7 in novice at Haydock (6f, good to soft) 4 weeks ago. This son of Saxon Warrior is likely capable of better still.
Stytch
50/1 for his debut but shaped encouragingly when sixth of 12 in 7f novice at Kempton in August. This Too Darn Hot colt looks open to improvement.
Turbo Charger
Foaled March 5. €75,000 foal, 70,000 gns yearling, Perfect Power colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 7f winner Tawafag and 5.3f/6f winner Fancy Dancer. Appeals on paper so this debutant needs a market check.
Wowaditaka (IRE)
Foaled February 10. Sioux Nation gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 11.5f-2¼m winner Trooper Bisdee and winner up to 1m Thapa Vc. Dam 1m-1¼m winner. Pedigree offers plenty of hope but the market can prove an accurate indicator for this newcomer.
Yabreen
Mohaather colt hinted at promise when a debut seventh in maiden at Newbury in August but failed to build on it when eighth of 12 in similar company at Bath (1m, good to firm) 19 days ago.
Adatta
Foaled April 15. 5,500 gns yearling, Harry Angel filly. Half-sister to 8.6f-1¼m winner Dashinwhitesargent and 7f winner Kennington. Dam, 7f/1m winner, is a half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Showout. No forlorn hope.
Forest Bay
Foaled March 10. New Bay filly. Half-sister to numerous winners, including (at 1¼m) Forest Of Dean and Crown of Oaks and also 7f-1m scorer English Oak. Bred to be well above average for leading yard. Interesting debutante.
