SAILOR’S RETURN won at Southwell in August and shaped better than the result from 3 lb higher there a fortnight ago. With Newcastle expected to suit, she looks the one to side with. Alkumatic Jo Jo remains competitively treated and can be involved if reproducing her recent Kempton effort, while Dalamara ran well under a penalty over this C&D last time and should be suited by the return to 1m.

Transformed by switch to front-running tactics when winning at Newcastle in March and has remained in good form, clear of the rest when second of 11 in handicap at Ripon (1m, good) in April. 5 lb higher now, though, and entitled to be sharper for this outing after 168-day absence.
Exotic Baby
First run since leaving George Boughey when last of 9 in handicap (28/1) at Southwell (7f) 28 days ago. Can only be watched after that.
Sailor's Return
Off the mark at fifth attempt for David O'Meara when landing 10-runner handicap at Southwell in August. Not seen to best effect when 5½ lengths fifth of 12 to Gladiadora over same C&D last time. Her style of racing should be well suited to this track and bold bid anticipated.
Alkumatic Jo Jo (IRE)
Remains a maiden but ran one of her better races when third of 14 at Kempton last month. Awkward leaving stalls and not ideally placed when below form there last time. Capable of being in the mix if bouncing back.
Dacres Cross (IRE)
Fair 6f juvenile winner who stepped up markedly on his reappearance when fourth in 20-runner York handicap over this trip in May. Unable to replicate that confined to 3 starts since, including when taking on his elders for the first time when 2½ lengths fifth of 14 to Ice Cube at Ayr on latest.
Dalamara
Found a bit of progression in first-time cheekpieces when doubling career tally at Musselburgh (9f) in August and then ran to a similar level when third under a penalty in 1¼m handicap at this course 29 days ago. Claims returned to this shorter trip.
Suntino Lady
Hinted at ability in a trio of maidens at 7f/1m, though looked slightly stretched by this trip on latest. Makes handicap debut.
Truly Special
Has improved since joining current yard winning 6f event at Carlisle in June and 7f event there in August. The step back up to 1m shouldn't be an issue, though she has yet to prove herself as effective on this surface as she is on turf
Maynora
Opened his account at Pontefract (6f) in April and has largely held his form well since, though was below form when 5¼ lengths fifth of 12 to Lope Y Linda at Catterick. Very much the type to quickly bounce back but has stamina to prove now tackling 1m.
Baldosa (IRE)
Gained a first win at the twelfth attempt at Nottingham in July and followed that up with a decent third at Redcar. Might have found next run coming too soon so must be respected given more of a break this time.
