Ran to a fair level as a juvenile and, fitted with cheekpieces, left behind first 2 starts this year when third of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.5f) in July. Task is now to build on latest effort on first run since leaving George Scott (switches to a visor).
Henry Halflight (IRE)
Confirmed his debut promise at the second attempt when winning a C&D maiden in March. However, has failed to beat a rival in 2 handicaps since, returning from 5 months off when tailed off at Redcar (1m) 16 days ago.
March Ahead
Won 6f Carlisle novice last summer, leaving Kevin Ryan after final outing that year. Hasn't offered much in 2 starts this season, though possibly needed the run after a further 3 months off when mid-field here 26 days ago. This should reveal more back up in trip.
Egotistical
Opened her account at the fourth attempt in a 6f novice at Redcar in April. Hasn't kicked on in handicaps, though shaped as if worth a try over further when fourth of 7 at Kempton (6f) last time. Merits consideration for much-respected yard.
Espanita (IRE)
Successful 3 times this year, twice over 7f at Wolverhampton and adding to her tally at Lingfield (1m) in September. Improved in defeat when narrowly denied back at Wolverhampton (8.5f) 10 days ago. Strong contender.
Kody B (IRE)
Never-nearer fourth at Hamilton (6f) on second start this season but below that level since, running poorly back up to this trip when well held at Thirsk 17 days ago. Needs to get back on track as he makes all-weather debut.
Berlinetta
Made second start for this trainer a winning one in handicap at Windsor (1m) in July. Not discredited on first try over 7f when eighth of 14 at Newmarket 12 days ago, meeting trouble in running, and drops back in grade here.
Kilfrush Desert (IRE)
Showed improved form when runner-up in maidens on first 2 starts this year, including at this course (6f). Down the field in handicaps the last twice, though was possibly unsuited by soft ground at Hamilton on latest outing. Has something to find up in trip.
Record Day
Made the frame in C&D novice on second start and best effort when close third in handicap at Thirsk (6f) in June. In first-time blinkers, fared better than of late when fifth of 11 back at Thirsk 17 days ago. Could be in the mix back up in trip.
Rousham
Not straightforward but made a winning handicap debut at Redcar in May. Shaped best before failing to keep straight when fourth of C&D in June, though has been below form both starts since.
