Timeform View

CELESTIAS COMET was a comfortable winner over C&D in July and, though she flopped at Sandown next time, she could bounce back returned to this venue with the likely solid pace in her favour. Didaar is another to note returned to this C&D and could take a hand if his wide draw doesn't prove prohibitive, while veteran front-runner Garden Oasis is lurking on an attractive mark and could well make a bold bid from stall 2.

Timeform Comments

Celestias Comet (IRE)
Won readily over C&D in early July, coming from off a solid gallop. Ran no sort of race when seventh of 10 in a handicap at Sandown later that month but off 64 days since and should again get a good tempo to chase so could bounce back.
Crimson Road (IRE)
Fourth of 9 over C&D in July before rattling up a quick hat-trick, still looking in rude health when sharing a dead-heat of 7 at Brighton 38 days ago. Now faces a 5 lb higher mark so may prove vulnerable.
Renesmee
Out of sorts before second of 7 at Wolverhampton on all-weather 13 days ago when returned to 9.5f. Has won at this track and is well treated if able to back up recent effort.
Pleasant Man
Veteran who isn't the force of old but won an ordinary affair at Doncaster in June, making all. Had limitations exposed next 3 starts and unlikely to get things his way on the front end here.
Public Enemy (IRE)
A dual winner in maiden/novice company over hurdles in 2025 for Anthony Honeyball but struggled in handicaps since. Now makes stable/British Flat debut switched to a handicap after 162 days off and is hard to assess.
Didaar (IRE)
Finally off the mark over C&D in July then backed that up with a third here later that month. Often races freely and didn't get home upped to 1½m at Newmarket 56 days ago and now returns to the scene of his win only 2 lb higher so is respected back at this trip.
Garden Oasis
Veteran who has produced several placed efforts this year and, though mainly racing over 1m nowadays, he has won at this trip before and is well berthed to employ his usual front-running tactics. Far from certain to get his own way in a field of this size, but he merits respect from easing mark.
Expressionless
Slow starter who has not beaten a rival in 3 outings and usually races over further than this nowadays, but he does at least have 3 course wins to his name and stable is going well.
New Bay Star (IRE)
Still finding his feet for this yard and probably wasn't suited by drop back to 1m at Yarmouth last time. Return to this trip should suit and stable has shown better signs of form lately.
Taradif (IRE)
Not long with yard and produced creditable third of 7 over 1m at Doncaster in August. Didn't appeal as well treated when sixth of 9 at Southwell last time, though, and now steps up in trip.
Why Not Me
Well-bred filly but she's gone the wrong way from her second on debut last year, including when checking out of things tamely over this trip on turf debut at Ripon last time. Hard to be sure what to expect on handicap debut.
Crimson Rambler
Won twice on all-weather in March and has produced several solid in-frame efforts on turf since, though last couple of outings haven't been so encouraging which tempers enthusiasm.
Roman Secret (IRE)
Twice a winner on all-weather this year, including since joining this yard when beating subsequent winner at Lingfield in August. Not so good back on turf last time but that was in a better grade and she has made the frame on 4 of her 5 starts at this track so isn't without hope.
Mohaab
Wide-margin winner over C&D (good to soft) in May. Found things tougher since but mark is now just 2 lb above that winning one and the return to this venue could spark a revival, though softer going would likely be more in her favour.
