Timeform View

Preference is for RIPSNORTER, who found significant improvement when scoring at Downpatrick last time and remains relatively unexposed. In For The Night and Ocean Murphy head the list of dangers.

Timeform Comments

Slane Hill (IRE)
Winner at Navan in late 2024 but lightly raced and not added to that success since, running poorly when last seen at Fairyhouse in April.
Come On The Lads (IRE)
Scored over fences at Limerick in March but not troubled the judge under various codes since. Others preferred.
Plunkett Street
Off the mark over hurdles at Thurles last winter but not in same form at Punchestown next time and made little impact on Flat since.
The Friday Man
Well held behind Reverend Hubert on final start for Gordon Elliott last summer. Has since rejoined current yard and faces another stiff task on return.
Arctic Flame (IRE)
Scored over hurdles at Cork in July and wasn't disgraced in follow-up bid at same course 3 weeks later. Needs to bounce back from a poor run at Bellewstown, though.
In For The Night (IRE)
Bounced back to his best on just his second start for the yard when winning 10-runner handicap hurdle over shorter trip at Kilbeggan in July. A 9 lb rise makes like tougher but he must enter calculations.
Katie Daniels (IRE)
Resumed her progress when winning 20-runner handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (2½m, soft) in April but shaped as if amiss at Punchestown later that month. Others are more convincing.
Nelson Muntz (IRE)
Reliable sort posted a good second in first-time blinkers (retained) on Flat at Tramore before possibly finding the run coming too soon when sixth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (2½m, good) in July. Freshened up since and he's weighted to go well. Engaged 1.49 Clonmel Thursday.
Jackmoon (FR)
Consistent sort who posted another creditable effort when third of 13 in handicap hurdle (9/2) at Punchestown (3m, good) in June. Warrants respect on return to action.
Ripsnorter (FR)
Bumper winner who left previous hurdling efforts well behind when winning 11-runner handicap at Downpatrick in August. Raised 10 lb since but further improvement may be forthcoming.
Positive Thinker (IRE)
Failed to show much spark in any of his 3 appearances last season. Best watched back from 8 months off.
Brucejack (IRE)
Thorough stayer who finally got off the mark when winning 10-runner handicap chase at Down Royal (3¼m, good to soft) in May. However, not seen since and likely to be tapped for speed on hurdling return over much shorter trip.
Bop Wont Stop (IRE)
Yet to score after 6 attempts and not seen since below-par run at Listowel in May.
Paradise Lost (IRE)
Ended last season with good third at Clonmel in April and posted solid efforts on Flat since. Booking of Walsh a plus. Can make presence felt.
Ocean Murphy
Found improvement over hurdles this season, opening his account at Wexford in July and adding to that victory when landing 5-runner handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe (2¼m, good) 39 days ago, driven out. This is more competitive but he is not taken lightly.
Lucy Wang (IRE)
Disappointed in a maiden hunter at Cork on final outing for Josh Halley in April and made an underwhelming start for this yard in a couple of outings over hurdles. Plenty to prove now with cheekpieces added.
