There should be an honest gallop despite the small field, and it could set up perfectly for FRISKY WHISKEY to go one better than at Cartmel last time. Stylish Recruit and Scottish Dancer are both weighted to go well in their respective bids for a double.

Timeform Comments

Scottish Dancer (IRE)
Has looked as good as ever in both codes for present yard this year (fairly useful on the Flat). Showed a good attitude/relished the step back up in trip when scoring under a positive ride at Bangor (23f) last time. Weighted to go close off 6 lb higher.
Stylish Recruit (IRE)
Forward-going type who typically finds plenty for pressure/saves his best for this track. Chased home a fairly useful one here prior to seeing off 3 next-time-out winners to land a C&D handicap in late-June. Can make a bold bid for a fourth course victory if ready to roll.
Frisky Whiskey
Steadily progressive 5-y-o. Chased home a subsequent winner when third on qualifying run at Cartmel. Went one place better behind another next-time-out winner over longer trip on handicap debut there (25f) latest. Relatively unexposed and leading claims to get off the mark with Brian Hughes booked.
Killybegs Jet Lady (IRE)
Irish point winner who has proved a better chaser, getting off the mark under Rules in small-field chase at Kelso (good) in May. Disappointed both starts since, looking none too keen on return to hurdling at Cartmel last time.
Robert D'ores (FR)
Hold-up type whose 3 career wins have come over C&D, including off 5 lb higher mark in this corresponding event last year. Continued out of sorts when down the field (following a second career breathing operation) here in June. Clearly well treated if back on song, though.
