Timeform View

CABLE BEACH has made the frame 3 of his 4 starts this year, travelling well through the race when runner-up at Southwell last time, so is taken to open his account for the campaign. Finn Ironside is much respected, though, arriving on the back of a second C&D success, with Luminous Warrior another to consider.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Luminous Warrior traded at more than 5 times Betfair SP and 2 times Betfair SP when winning on 2 of its last 5 starts: Surprised traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Surprised
Best effort when third in handicap at Carlisle (6f) in May but below form since, though possibly needed the run after 10 weeks off when down the field at Thirsk (7f) 18 days ago. Others still more persuasive at present.
Spartan Fighter
Has rolled back the years since turning 9, winning 4 times here (all at 6f) in January/February. After a couple of lesser efforts, was sent off at 80/1 but bounced back to winning ways over C&D 27 days ago, though had the run of the race.
Luminous Warrior (IRE)
Ended his time with Dylan Cunha with back-to-back wins at Yarmouth (1m/6f) and went agonisingly close to extending the winning sequence for new stable at Musselburgh (7f) in August. Again ran well when second at Redcar last time, so enters calculations.
Finn Ironside
Goes well at this track, getting off the mark for the year in 9-runner handicap over C&D 27 days ago. Can make his presence felt again.
Age Of Baroque (FR)
Best effort this season when runner-up at Doncaster (7f) in June and made the frame there next time. However, ran poorly at Southwell (1m) 15 days ago, so bounce back now called for.
Just Queen High (IRE)
Won maiden and handicap (both over 6f) at Nottingham in 2025 but has gone the wrong way this year, including for current yard on last 3 starts. Cheekpieces now reached for.
Palmarian
Quirky type who gained breakthrough success at Leicester (1m) in July. Form has been mixed since, though arrives on the back of one of his better efforts having finished third of 12 at Southwell 15 days ago. Task is now to build on latest run back down in trip.
Why Because (IRE)
Fair form on all-weather for Harry Charlton last year. Took a step back in the right direction when fourth of 11 in selling handicap at Thirsk (6f) 18 days ago and has fallen another 2 lb in the weights since.
Secret Road (IRE)
Made a winning debut for Laura Mongan on all-weather at Lingfield (1m) in March. Has struggled for form since, though, well beaten at Catterick 24 days ago making second start for this stable.
Victory Sound (IRE)
Placed 3 times this summer, before taking advantage of his much-reduced mark in handicap over this C&D on penultimate start. Wasn't disgraced back up to this grade when fifth of 13 at Kempton 9 days ago.
Cable Beach
Has been shaping up well this year, bumping into a well-treated type when second of 10 at Southwell 5 weeks ago. Is back down to his last winning mark and could be ready to double his tally.
Aurora's Doublesix (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who raced too freely when tailed off in handicap at this course (1m) a week ago.
Sadiiki
Still looking for a first success and never threatened after a further 4 months off when down the field in handicap at this course (6f) 29 days ago.
