Timeform View

TRUCIAL PEARL took a step forward when scoring at Ripon in June, the runner-up winning 3 times since, and having not been ideally placed last time she could be up to doubling her tally. Soul Warrior is feared most following his recent Redcar success, while Forever Twenty shaped well over C&D on her penultimate start.

Timeform Comments

Soul Warrior (IRE)
Successful on nursery debut at Redcar (6f) a year ago and, fitted with a tongue strap, bounced back to winning ways over 7f at the same course 9 days ago. Could be thereabouts under a penalty.
Elias Escape (IRE)
Little impact in his qualifying runs, but after 3 months off, he found some progress sent handicapping when third of 8 at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago. Entitled to build on that first run back from a break.
Sonbelievable
Slowly away and never involved in his 3 starts so far, eighth of 9 in maiden at Wolverhampton 11 weeks ago. Handicaps should be more suitable but will need to take a big step forward.
Territorial Star
Still looking for a breakthrough success, but making only second start for current yard, shaped well when close fourth of 10 at this course (6f) 13 days ago. Hasn't yet proved herself over 7f in 3 previous attempts, though.
Ice Show
Hinted at promise first 4 starts and, switched to making the running, showed more on handicap debut when third of 8 at Redcar (1m) 8 weeks ago. Form from last time has been boosted since and she could still have more to offer
Tago Mago (USA)
Sold cheaply following a promising debut for Jamie Osborne a year ago and has struggled to make an impact for current yard, tried in blinkers when tenth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.5f) 25 days ago. Now switches to cheekpieces.
Lanarra (IRE)
Won 6f nursery here a year ago and returned to her best when doubling her tally in classified event at Catterick (7f) in August. Creditable third of 12 in handicap at Catterick 24 days ago and can give another good account.
Claytons Kolatonic
Took a step back in the right direction when 3½ lengths sixth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.5f) in August but hasn't built on that in 2 starts since, last of 12 at Bath (1¼m) 19 days ago. Blinkers applied back down in trip.
Trucial Pearl
Improved form when getting off the mark in handicap at Ripon (1m) in June and backed that up with 2 in-frame efforts. Slowly away when mid-field in classified event back at Ripon (1¼m) last time, so no surprise to see her bounce back (placed only previous visit here).
Dream Forever (IRE)
After 3 months off, responded well to blinkers when opening account in 6f handicap at Carlisle in August. Runner-up here next time, but wasn't in quite the same form when eighth of 11 at Carlisle 23 days ago. Back up in trip (made the frame over C&D in March).
Forever Twenty
On the back of a breathing operation, returned to form when fourth of 13 over this C&D on penultimate start, despite having not been ideally placed. Lesser effort upped to 8.5f when sixth of 10 at Beverley 16 days ago, but she's worth another chance.
Diamond Aura (IRE)
Having first run since leaving Hugo Palmer, made the frame at Redcar (1¼m) in July and returned to a similar level when fourth of 10 at Beverley (8.5f) 16 days ago. More needed if she's to gain a first victory.
Lady Grey
Not much promise in her qualifying runs and failed to improve switched to handicaps when fourteenth of 16 at Redcar (6f) on latest outing. Back up in distance for all-weather debut.
Nefyn Queen
Well beaten in 3 starts for Jack Channon and, after 5 months off, fared no better with visor applied when eleventh of 12 in handicap here (1¼m) 30 days ago. Switches to blinkers dropped back in trip.
