Timeform View

THI QAR has looked a useful prospect on both starts and should make it third time lucky. Princess Lottie's latest near miss in a nursery at Haydock was boosted when the winner followed up with something to spare back there last week and she can give the Gosden filly most to think about

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Thi Qar traded at a low of 2.08 and Betfair SP of 4.07 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Avebury Ring
Foaled March 10. Wootton Bassett filly. Half-sister to 7f winner Jodhpur Blue and 1¼m winner Banyan. Dam, 13.3f winner, sister to 2000 Guineas third Gan Amhras and smart stayer Forever Now. Newcomer from a good stable who needs checking out in betting.
Bejewel
Foaled February 10. Baaeed filly. Dam, 1¼m winner, half-sister to 5f-7f winner Hatta Fort and 1¼m-1½m winner Spirit of Appin (both smart). Bred to have a future but a watching brief is advised this time.
Empress Jingu
Fair form in 7f/1m maidens at Sandown in recent weeks. Place claims but she'll need to raise her game to seriously trouble Thi Qar.
Lavender Bay (IRE)
Foaled April 15. New Bay filly. Half-sister to smart 13f-2m winner Carmers. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m Lord Shanakill. The stable has had a few first-time-out 2-y-o winners this year so a betting check is needed. Wears a hood.
Princess Lottie
Camelot filly who has taken a good step forward with each start, going down by only a short head to Girl Scout (won again since) in 1m Haydock nursery (heavy) 4 weeks ago. Likely more to come.
Sweet Katarina
More one for handicaps based on her 2 efforts to date.
Thi Qar (IRE)
Mehmas filly who has shaped with plenty of encouragement when narrowly denied over 7f at Newmarket (good to firm) and Salisbury (good to soft) in recent weeks. Remains open to improvement and the one to beat.
