A 4-time winner this season, VELVET RHYTHM has looked back at the top of her game on her last 2 starts and she can build on those efforts to add to her tally. The main danger could be Starlight Lass, who had excuses in her hat-trick bid last time, with Woohoo also in the mix.

Timeform Comments

Havana Pusey
Returned to near her best when winning at Yarmouth in April and similar form when runner-up at Newbury in August. Has had possible excuses the last twice, racing on the unfavoured near side at Newbury 2 weeks ago. Is back down to her last winning mark.
Tryst (IRE)
Showed improved form dropped to 7f and fitted with cheekpieces, recording back-to-back wins at Yarmouth and the July Course. Is probably best not judged on her last 2 efforts, not ideally placed when mid-field at Ascot (1m), so she could fare better back down in trip.
Stimulative Trip (FR)
Debut winner at Newbury last year who ran well when third in listed race at Carlisle in June. Down the field last 2 starts, dropped back to 6f on handicap debut at Salisbury a month ago, but there have been better signs from her yard recently.
Starlight Lass
Landed the odds in novice on the July Course (1m) making her second start, before following up in good style in another 3-runner contest at Yarmouth. Seemed unsuited by soft ground when well held on handicap debut at York's Ebor meeting (7f), so she's worth another chance.
Harlequin Angel (IRE)
After 7 months off, got back on the up when making all at Yarmouth in April. Hasn't managed to kick on in 2 subsequent outings, though, unable to lead in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot before seventh of 11 on the July Course when last seen.
Starfinch (IRE)
Made a winning start for new connections in 6f novice at Southwell in January. Advanced her form on handicap debut when close third of 4 at Yarmouth (7f) in July and left behind a lesser effort when sixth of 13 at Kempton 10 days ago. Task is now to build on latest run.
Woohoo (IRE)
Scored at Musselburgh (5f) in April and racked up a sequence of 6 runner-up finishes in July/August, including over 7f at York's Ebor meeting. Good third at this course (6f) 9 days ago and she can be thereabouts once more back down in grade.
Enchant (IRE)
Winner of 3-runner novice at Pontefract (6f) only start last year. Couldn't manage to improve making a quick switch to handicaps when fourth of 8 at Thirsk (7f) in August (form boosted since), before racing too freely upped to 1m at Sandown last time. Has something to find.
Polka Blue (IRE)
Off the mark at Leicester (6f) in May and scored again at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) the following month. Has shaped as if still in good heart since, very slowly away in 20-runner contest at Glorious Goodwood (6f) but making up ground to finish mid-field.
Velvet Rhythm
Successful over C&D on return in May and has won 3 times at Catterick since, the latest in July. Has shaped well the last twice, forcing a strong pace when fifth of 10 at Epsom 6 days ago, and she could be ready to resume winning ways.
