Timeform View

Irish raider EBEN ZAABEEL has seemingly benefited from the application of a tongue strap in recent starts, travelling best from some way out when making his second hurdles start a winning one at Downpatrick 33 days ago. He does need to brush up on his jumping but can do better still if doing so and earns the vote to follow up under Sean Bowen. Down To Business back down in trip rates next best. Anniversary and Aquaman are hurdles newcomers to note.

Timeform Comments

Eben Zaabeel
Fairly useful middle-distance performer on the Flat who readily surpassed what he achieved on sole previous hurdles run when opening his account in 9-runner Downpatrick maiden (2¼m, good) 33 days ago, travelling best some way out. Big shout under a penalty with prospect of more to come.
Down To Business
Fair on Flat in Ireland and made most of good opportunity following a break/breathing operation when opening hurdles account at fourth attempt at Worcester (2m) in August. Possibly stretched by step up to 2½m on handicap debut there latest and likely to bounce back. Tongue strap back on.
Jaycee Reidy (IRE)
€20,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Half-brother to fair 25f hurdle winner Dad Sez and poor chaser Flemen's Tipple. Dam (c120/h113), 2m-2½m hurdle/chase winner. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt (Oct 2025) and he's one to note in betting now hurdling.
Thepassingcyclone
Showed some ability amidst greenness on first of 2 starts in bumpers and showed a bit more 4 months on from an unpromising hurdles debut here when fifth in a Worcester maiden (2m) 23 days ago. However, low-grade handicaps promise to be more his bag moving forward.
Alfred Spero
Modest Flat winner (stays 12.5f) who justified strength in the betting when making final start for Gemma Tutty a winning one in handicap at Southwell (11f) in January. Changed hands for 10,000 gns thereafter but he will need to settle better than he has on occasions now hurdling. Hooded.
Anniversary
Useful on Flat (stays 14.5f) who posted one of his better efforts when second at Salisbury in May. Below that level on final 2 starts this summer for Ralph Beckett but has since joined another good yard ahead of hurdles debut and interesting if supported in the betting.
Aquaman (GER)
Cracksman gelding who showed useful form in a trio of Flat starts in Germany during early 2025. Not at same level in pair of starts earlier this year, third in a Saint-Cloud claimer (12.4f) on final start for Henk Grewe in May. Still, another to note in betting now hurdling for new stable.
Moscow Star (FR)
Modest form in a trio of bumpers during second half of last season and he was below that level when tenth of 14 in a C&D novice on hurdles bow when last seen 5 months ago. Best watched on the back of that.
Tipu Sultan (IRE)
Half-brother to a point winner but low-key start in pair of juvenile hurdles for Denis Hogan in Ireland this time last year. Placed himself in a point during the spring but he rates a likely outsider returned to hurdling for new stable now.
Lakeview Lass
Always behind in a pair of bumpers but offered a glimmer of promise on second hurdles start when sixth of 14 in a Chepstow maiden (2m) in April. Needs another run for a mark and she's the type her yard does well with in handicaps.
Snow Is In The Sky (IRE)
Has shown nothing under Rules since winning a small-field point. Reportedly bled back from 5 months off when pulled up at Worcester (2m) 6 weeks ago.
Days Of Joy (IRE)
€10,000 4-y-o, Success Days filly. Dam unraced. Finished third on second of 2 starts in Irish points (Apr 2026) and she's probably best watched unless market vibes proved particularly strong on Rules/hurdles debut.
