Marginal preference is for LADY HORNBLOWER who benefited from the fitting of a visor when going in over C&D last time and remains likely capable of better over this trip having largely been campaigned at up to 1m previously. Kartini is feared most having slipped to a lenient-looking mark, while Bay Dream Believer and Tommo's Ginjaninja also need factoring into this tight-knit handicap.

Scored on her return (after a breathing operation) at Southwell (1m) in April. Her more recent form is much less encouraging though, so others appeal more.
Bay Dream Believer (IRE)
Bagged handicaps at Pontefract (1¼m) in June and Nottingham (1m) in July. Has posted good third placings over C&D last 2 runs. Much respected eased 1 lb.
Lady Hornblower
Bounced back to winning ways (first-time visor) in 9-runner handicap over C&D (good) 24 days ago. Up 4 lb but she remains unexposed at this trip and can go well again with headgear retained.
Recobella (FR)
Doubled her tally for 2026 in 3-runner handicap at Thirsk (1½m) in August. Not at her best when fifth of 6 at Newcastle (1½m) since, however. Needs to get back on track.
Kartini (IRE)
Fair maiden for Oliver Cole last year. Much better signs for current yard of late, fourth of 11 in handicap at Pontefract (1¼m, good to soft) 16 days ago. Weighted to go well off a 2 lb lower mark.
Tommo's Ginjaninja
Placed 4 times during first half of the year. Back to form with fourth at Nottingham (1¼m) in August but ran poorly on soft ground at Chester (1¼m) last time. Not out of things under these likely different ground conditions.
Kitsune Power (IRE)
Ended a long losing sequence at Beverley (1¼m) in July. Well below that level on his last 3 runs though, including when sixth of 10 in handicap there (1¼m, good) 17 days ago.
Eagles Dream (IRE)
Fair maiden in Ireland for John Joseph Murphy. Yet to offer much for current yard, including following a breathing operation at Carlisle and Newcastle last 2 starts. Tongue strap now goes on for the first time.
