Timeform View

This could set up perfectly for ZIGGY'S TRITON and Mo Of Cairo, with David O'Meara's charge narrowly preferred to his 3-y-o counterpart. Emperor Caradoc and Dolos Dream are no back numbers, either, in what looks a competitive sprint.

Timeform Comments

Ziggy's Triton (IRE)
Successful twice this year, taking advantage of a drop into this grade at York in July. Back to his best when ½-length second to a lightly-raced one ahead of his mark in a similar event at Southwell last week. Leading claims to go one better in a race that should be run to suit.
Sugar Hill Babe (IRE)
Went with zest/better than ever when winning in similar company at Nottingham (5f) in May. Reported to have bled when trailing the field there the following month. This could be the time to catch her (good record when fresh).
Dolos Dream
Speedy sort. Overcame a wide draw to make a winning handicap debut at Pontefract (5f) in June. Advanced her form when runner-up at York prior to shaping better than the 6¼-length distance in a better event there latest. Weighted to go well on first start against her elders.
Accrual
Capitalised on a falling mark at Thirsk in August (second and third won next time). Only 1 lb higher when resuming winning ways at Ripon last week. Well drawn that day and a 4 lb rise probably prevents a follow up here.
Al Hussar
Beat some borderline useful sprinters when last successful at Thirsk (5f) in May. Now 1 lb below that mark following a poor run in the Ayr Bronze Cup (6f, soft), beaten before the longer trip became an issue.
Tees Spirit
Won twice as a novice. Largely well held in 2025 prior to shaping as if very much needing the run at Southwell on reappearance last week. Still hard to be confident that he'll capitalise on tumbling mark.
Mo Of Cairo
Shaped as if a second career win is nearing when runner-up (well backed) at Musselburgh (5f, good) 3 days ago, sticking to the task well having been briefly checked in his run. Likely strong pace will suit on that evidence and he has to be high on the shortlist.
Kinetic Force
Excuses on a couple of starts since winning off 1 lb higher at Thirsk in May. Not best away when 3½ lengths behind Accrual at Ripon last week. Respected if away on terms with Joanna Mason back aboard.
Sports Coach (IRE)
Went close to landing a first turf success when second in a big-field handicap at York in late-July. Form of his subsequent close fourth here hasn't worked out, though, and he ran poorly on return to York last time.
Angel Numbers (IRE)
Completed a double at Ripon in August. Struggled in this sort of company since and yard look to have better-fancied runners.
Curious Rover (IRE)
Successful off a 4 lb higher mark in 2024 renewal of this race. Wasn't far off that form when well-backed winner at Ayr in July, but he hasn't backed that up in 2 starts since. Jockey booking offers hope of a bounce back.
Our Absent Friends (IRE)
Made all in 0-70 handicap at Catterick in August. Remained in reasonable heart prior to again struggling with the step up to this grade at Ripon last week. Tongue strap goes back on (mixed bag when previously worn).
Emperor Caradoc (FR)
Course winner who caught the eye with some good late work (not given at all a hard time) when 4 lengths behind Accrual at Ripon last week. Now 6 lb below his latest winning mark. Entitled to go close given how this is likely to unfold.
