FAIRLAWN SKIPPER looked a good prospect when going in at the first time of asking over fences here last month and with this return to further a plus he is fancied to make light of a 7 lb rise in the weights. Upfordebate has really taken to the larger obstacles too and should ensure Mickey Bowen's promising sort doesn't have things all his own way.

Impressed with her jumping switched to fences when landing a pair of handicaps here over 23f and C&D late in 2025. Pulled up in handicap at Uttoxeter (3m, soft) in March though and off since. No surprise to see her bounce back on her return though.
Fairlawn Skipper
Dual hurdles winner at Cartmel and Newton Abbot this summer. Really impressed on his chasing bow with success in 4-runner handicap here (2¾m, good) 18 days ago, jumping well. Remains unexposed as a stayer in this sphere and looks the one to beat despite 7 lb weights rise.
Upfordebate (IRE)
Has thrived since going chasing, winning 4 times at up to 3¼m last year. Resumed from 5 months off with another victory in 9-runner handicap at Perth (3m, good to soft) 10 days ago. Up 6 lb but he's not taken lightly.
Inis Oirr (IRE)
Unreliable sort, although he went with more fluency than of late when a creditable fourth of 9 to Upfordebate in handicap chase at Perth (3m, good to soft) 10 days ago. Others are still preferred.
Sir Carnegie (IRE)
Made it 5 wins for current yard (including over C&D) at Perth (3m) in September with positive tactics utilised again. Posted another good effort with third of 9 to Upfordebate in handicap there (3m, good to soft) 10 days ago. Not out of things, although yard also has Fairlawn Skipper in here.
