The Twiston-Davies yard couldn't be going much better at present so CURRENT EDITION is selected to continue their hot streak and make a winning return having gone down by a nose first time up in this discipline back in the spring. Sytadel bumped into a subsequent winner starting out for this yard recently, so he looks an obvious danger, with stable-switcher Larzac rounding off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Current Edition (IRE)
Fell sole start in Irish points and having looked in need of experience in 2 bumpers last winter, took a step forward following a breathing operation when nose-second of 8 in novice at Ludlow (2m, good to soft) on hurdling debut in March. Yard flying and could well go one better on return.
Kind Of Kiss
Borderline useful Flat performer (stays 1½m) last year. Hasn't hit those heights in 6 starts for new connections, including when well held on hurdling debut at Cartmel in July. Can only be watched.
Larzac (FR)
Attracted support and posted much his best effort for Willie Mullins when fourth of 19 in handicap hurdle over longer trip at Cork back in April. Well beaten at the Punchestown Festival later that month and he's switched yards (same ownership) ahead of this return. Does set the standard.
Tazman Dan (IRE)
Little impact in 3 bumpers and given a considerate introduction over hurdles on his first outing for 5 months/since leaving P. Kiely when fourth of 6 in novice at Stratford (2m, good to firm) last month. Hood applied and significant step forward required.
Akrramm
Only made the track 4 times for Roger Varian, taking a small step forward when second on handicap debut in September 2025. Raced too freely even with a hood fitted on recent yard/hurdling debut at Plumpton so tough to enthuse over. Drops back in trip with quickly hood discarded.
Pedro's Moon
Failed to meet market expectations first time up when eighth of 10 in bumper at Worcester (2m, good) on debut 6 weeks ago, not enjoying the clearest of passages but essentially shaping as if ill-suited to the test of speed. Makes hurdles debut and likely to need more time/distance.
Sytadel (FR)
Easy winner of Le Lion-d'Angers maiden on second outing on the Flat for Xavier Blanchet in May 2025. Tongue tied for his hurdling debut and produced an encouraging effort after 16 months off when second of 12 in maiden at Worcester (2m) last month. Obvious claims with that form franked.
Wannabe Sporty
Passing Glance gelding who ran more like his £5,000 sales price had suggested he might rather than the betting when seventh of 8 in bumper at Worcester (2m, good to soft, 9/2) last month. Makes the quick switch to hurdling.
Midnight Lexi
Nathaniel filly who showed promise amidst signs of being headstrong when third of 9 in bumper at Worcester (2m, good) last month. Makes hurdling debut and entitled to progress provided the lid can be kept on. Yard second string.
Sangara (IRE)
Limited Flat performer at up to 1¼m who offered little with a hood retained for her switch to hurdling at Plumpton a fortnight ago. Looks an easy swerve.
