Veteran Loingseoir bagged this prize twice prior to that and heads the list of dangers off a handy-looking mark, while Blue Blue Moon and Lady Arwen can also have a say in this highly competitive event.

Got off the mark over C&D in May. Well below that level both runs since, coming in last of 7 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good to firm) in August. Others are more persuasive.
Spacebound
Shaped well when runner-up over 7f on his first 2 outings. Has failed to kick on but not totally disgraced on handicap debut with fifth of 17 in handicap at this course (7f, good to firm) in June. Needs to build on it after a break.
Terre De Vega
Lightly-raced 5-y-o. Good second on yard debut in 1m Leopardstown handicap last October. Has offered little in a trio of runs this season though, blinkers added to usual hood when sixteenth of 17 in handicap at Galway in July.
Blue Blue Moon (IRE)
Much improved to gain a first win on handicap debut at Galway (1m) in August. Suffered a poor run (in first-time cheekpieces) when twelfth of 18 in handicap at Leopardstown (1m, good to firm) 22 days ago, finishing well. Likely capable of better.
Cherry Hill Girl (IRE)
Fair 1m winner at 2yrs. Arrives in good nick, not enjoying a clear run over 1f out when third to Bunyola Bay in minor event at Gowran last time. No forlorn hope back in handicap company.
Highbury See See (IRE)
Took this 12 months ago and has shaped well when second in 1m handicaps at Cork and Listowel recently, unable to reel in the winner having suffered a poor run on latter occasion. Big shout nudged up 2 lb.
Lady Arwen
In fine form this season and a 3-time winner, latest at Galway (8.5f) in July. Left poorly placed after a very slow start when eighth of 14 in handicap at Punchestown (9f, good) 19 days ago. Can make her presence felt.
Titanium (FR)
C&D winner. Off 4 months, well-held eleventh of 13 in handicap at Listowel (9f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Tried in different headgear again here.
Local Lad (IRE)
Still a maiden and he came in only fourteenth of 15 in handicap at Listowel (1m, good to soft) 13 days ago. Hard to make a case for.
Rhythm King (IRE)
C&D winner. Off 9 months, shaped encouragingly when sixth of 17 at Galway on his return in July. Only sixteenth of 17 in handicap there (1½m, soft) 2 days later. Freshened up since.
Stellar View (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Off 5 months, last of 15 on handicap bow at Listowel (1m, good to soft) 13 days ago. Plenty to find on form.
Whiskey And Beer (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Off 2 years, well held both runs last month for his new yard, twelfth of 15 in handicap (200/1) at Listowel (1m, good to soft) 13 days ago.
Lady Mary Heath (IRE)
Is 0-8 and she failed to build on previous promise when a below-form ninth of 20 in handicap here (6f, good) in June. Bounce back is needed after a break.
Loingseoir (IRE)
Mainly in good form without winning this season but his form has dipped of late, just twelfth of 18 in handicap at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 13 days ago. Took this contest in both 2021 and 2022 however so can't be dismissed off a handy-looking mark.
Montevetro (IRE)
Has failed to kick on since debut second at Chelmsford in March for Charlie Appleby. Came in last of 15 on handicap debut at Listowel (1½m, good to soft) 13 days ago.
