Cases can be made for most of these, but LIPS FREEDOM resumed his progress when going down narrowly at Navan recently so Andrew Kinirons' 6-y-o earns the tentative nod returned to novice company. Cocofred can't have been right on his handicap debut, so he's worth another chance to get back on the up here, with Fibrebrand and Celtic Alliance taken to fight out minor honours.

Timeform Comments

Belladaball (IRE)
Listed bumper winner who confirmed previous promise over hurdles when winning 9-runner maiden at Sligo (2¼m, good) in mid-August, having plenty more left to give after settling much better than the favourite. Another jolt of improvement needed but that's possible.
Lips Freedom (GER)
Much improved when winning at Downpatrick in March and defied an 11 lb higher mark over C&D in July. Couple of lesser efforts followed (including on Flat) but resumed progress when second of 13 at Navan (2m, good to soft) recently (picked off late by a stronger stayer). Fancied to be bang there.
Cocofred (IRE)
Continued a theme of progression over hurdles when winning 15-runner maiden at Roscommon in July by 4 lengths from Astelia. However, he ran too badly to be true having been sent off favourite on handicap debut last month so worth another chance.
Le Roi Du Livet (FR)
Confirmed previous promise back in maiden company when winning 15-runner event at Tramore (2m, good to soft) in late-May. Off since but no reason why he can't be competitive if fully tuned up.
Firebrand (GER)
Attracted strong late support in a change of headgear and finally got off the mark having been allowed the run of things in 20-runner maiden at Galway (17f, good to soft) last month, jumping fluently. Big shout if the headgear is equally effective here.
Celtic Alliance (IRE)
Made a winning start in an ordinary juvenile maiden hurdle at Clonmel (2m) in April. Wasn't able to repeat that effort when third of 7 in mares' novice at Perth (2½m) later the same month, but it remains early days for her.
Rosenborg (FR)
Progressed again when winning 14-runner maiden at Wexford in August but failed to back that up switched to a handicap at Kilbeggan last time, doing too much in racing clear with one other for a fair portion of the race. Needs to get back on track.
No Mon No Fun (IRE)
Much improved from debut with win in 13-runner maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe (17f, good) in July but got nowhere near to backing that up when tailed off at Kilbeggan (19f, good to soft) the following month. Has since moved yards.
