Timeform View

TEDWORTH got back on track last time and looks capable of adding to his sole success if coping with the quick turnaround. Ballyminnion Boy saw things out with more purpose last time and rates the main danger, while James The Brave is well treated on his previous chase win so is dangerous if fully wound up for this.

Timeform Comments

Good World (IRE)
Fair handicap hurdler. At least respectable efforts on last 2 starts, 8¾ lengths seventh of 13 to Smallcraftwarning at Kilbeggan on latest. Races off last winning mark and capable of being involved if running up to his best.
It's Not His Fault (IRE)
Best effort over hurdles came when third at Tipperary on debut but has gone the wrong way since and could hardly have shown any less on return from 5-month absence in August.
James The Brave (IRE)
Enjoyed a fruitful 2025/26, winning a handicap hurdle at Punchestown and handicap chases at this course and Wexford all under this rider. Potentially well treated now reverting to hurdling, though he may just need this after 6 months off compared to some already up and running.
Coolboy Christy (IRE)
Maiden who wasn't disgraced on form when fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (21f, good) 46 days ago, though made hard work of things. Should be suited by this step back up in trip but improvement needed.
Lakewood Rose (IRE)
Pair of in-frame efforts in May/June and better than bare facts all 3 starts since, in the process of running well when unseating 2 out on latest.
Monntie (IRE)
Has yet to match her fair Flat form in this sphere but twice hit the frame in maidens and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when 18½ lengths fifth of 14 to Boola Times in handicap at Wexford, doing best of those ridden prominently despite losing all momentum at the second last.
Inchidaly Copper (IRE)
Won this race last year off 1 lb lower mark and turned in best effort this season when 11¼ lengths third of 14 to Luck Between Us at this course in July. Blinkers replace cheekpieces but needs to leave behind his most recent efforts if he's to be competitive for all return to this venue will suit.
King's Son (FR)
Maiden hurdler/chaser who has failed to see his last 2 races out in the latter sphere, acknowledging a late error did at least offer some mitigation last time. Has a bit to prove now back over hurdles, not least his stamina for such a test.
Political Stance (IRE)
Runner-up on handicap debut at Clonmel last season but has gone the wrong way since, including when making no impact on chasing bow last time. Wears first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap. Hard to recommend on form but shrewdness of connections suggests a market check will be necessary.
Prophetess Miriam (IRE)
Held every chance when falling at the last on sole outing in points and runner-up first 2 of 3 starts in bumpers last season. However, she's achieved little in 4 maiden hurdles and needs to step up markedly on those efforts if she's to make an impact on handicap hurdle debut.
Ballyminnion Boy (IRE)
Shaped with some encouragement at long odds in maidens. Saw out his race with more purpose with hood added at Ballinrobe last time, finishing 5½ lengths sixth of 16 (2¾m, 66/1). Still very early days in handicaps and could yet have more to offer.
Blackwater Soldier (IRE)
Successful on the second of 2 starts in points. Looked to be being brought along steadily in maidens in 2023. Showed a bit when beaten 7¾ lengths on belated return/handicap bow at Ballinrobe (2¾m). Remains to be seen if he can build on that with tongue strap added.
Mane Attraction (IRE)
Well held in maiden hurdles and never landed a blow on handicap hurdle debut. Needs to improve significantly for this step up in trip if he's to feature.
Tedworth (IRE)
Won handicap hurdle at Tramore in April. His record since has been mixed but returned to form when 5¼ lengths fourth of 15 to Private Policy at Clonmel 3 days ago. Cheekpieces go back for the first time this season and must enter calculations if coping with the quick turnaround.
