TIME IS A THIEF looks an interesting type for the excellent Henry de Bromhead yard and he gets the nod over fellow chasing debutant Stede Bonnet. It's still relatively early days over fences for Impero, who isn't taken lightly.

Timeform Comments

Impero (IRE)
Flat-bred 7-y-o. Useful handicapper up to 2½m over hurdles. Hasn't come close to matching that form in 3 starts over fences, though again showed some aptitude for chasing when well-held fourth at Roscommon (17f). Will need to be on his game to see off a couple of less-exposed ones here.
Mister Loolah (IRE)
Winning pointer who didn't offer much in a couple of hunter chases last winter. Brought down sole outing between the flags since and likely up against it on return to Rules.
Stede Bonnet (IRE)
Fairly useful bumper/hurdle winner. In good form in handicaps this summer, no match for useful pair at Kilbeggan prior to a forgivable effort at Galway in August (poorly placed). Related to some useful chasers and no surprise to see him play leading role on chasing debut for top yard.
Time Is A Thief (IRE)
Lightly-raced 6-y-o who is bred to stay well. Finished runner-up to Pure Steel (now smart chaser) on sole point start. Off the mark second time up over hurdles at Thurles and took another big step forward when runner-up at Wexford in May (17f). Very interesting chasing debutant for excellent yard.
Woodstream Lad (IRE)
Fair hurdler/chaser. Step back in the right direction when sixth over hurdles at Listowel (19f) last time. Tall order back chasing off level weights with classier types.
