Timeform View

SEA OF DOUBT arrives on the back of a chase win and, reunited with a conditional who knows her well, is taken to follow up in a race lacking depth. Whispering Willow has posted 2 good efforts recently and rates the main danger, while Classy Cc and Victoria Kesia can also be involved if running up to their best.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sea Of Doubt traded at a high of 10.50 and Betfair SP of 8.04 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Sea Of Doubt (IRE)
Advanced her form with an easy first chase win in 12-runner novice at Downpatrick (2¼m, soft) 17 days ago. Reverts to hurdling under a 7-lb conditional that is well acquainted with her and is very much one to consider in a race in which plenty have something to prove.
Tropical Twist (IRE)
Showed much improved form when winning 14-runner 17f handicap at Wexford in August but has followed that with a pair of poor efforts at Downpatrick. Wears first-time cheekpieces but has a fair bit to prove now.
Whispering Willow (IRE)
Readily off the mark in big-field Punchestown hurdle on handicap hurdle/stable debut in May. Runner-up in handicap hurdle at Down Royal and maiden chase at Downpatrick on last 2 starts and looks sure to be thereabouts reverting to this sphere.
Annie's Angel (IRE)
Turned in a couple of decent efforts over hurdles in the summer, though below form both on the Flat and in this sphere since. Needs to bounce back.
Classy Cc (IRE)
Best effort when runner-up in mares handicap at Naas (2m) in March. Has been somewhat typically inconsistent since, but possibly needed the run after 5 months off when mid-division in handicap at Roscommon 7 days ago. Cheekpieces back on in place of blinkers.
Patty O'farrell (IRE)
Produced one of her best efforts when runner-up in a mares handicap at Listowel in June, but 2 poor efforts since have only reinforced the view that she is hard to catch right. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Teagarden Jazz
Still looking for a breakthrough success. Ran better than for a while when third of 14 in mares handicap at Wexford in August but typically failed to build on that next time.
Hashtag Doyen (IRE)
Doyen mare who made limited impact in points and looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind over hurdles, though rising 9 years of age, time isn't on her side. Tongue strap back on.
Barrogstown Girl (IRE)
Showed much improved form making handicap debut in this sphere when runner-up at Kilbeggan (19f) in July, albeit better placed than most. Has raced freely when failing to back that up in 2 outings since, looking set to finish sixth at best when falling at the last at Wexford last time.
Frontier Rose
Creditable efforts last 3 starts, 7 lengths fifth of 16 to Mother Ship at Navan on latest. Likely to need further respite from the handicapper before becoming of interest.
Polly Poppins (IRE)
Maiden who went close in a handicap hurdle at Tramore last summer but hasn’t really threatened to open her account since, both over fences and back over hurdles last time.
Victoria Kesia (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on the Flat at best when trained by Joseph Murphy. Third on handicap hurdle debut over this C&D in June but hasn't kicked on since, dropping away a bit too tamely for comfort fitted with a tongue tie at Downpatrick last time.
But What About Me (IRE)
Finished as close as she has when beaten 8 lengths at Ballinrobe on final start for Norman Lee in April 2025. Tongue tied and posed no threat on debut for new yard on return from 17 months off last time.
Nugentstown Sue (IRE)
Placed in a 2m mares maiden hurdle in 2024 but little impact in various company since. Wears first-time blinkers on handicap debut.
Nelliestar (IRE)
No form on Flat and has made no impact on completed starts in maiden hurdles.
George's Angel (IRE)
Tailed off in a bumper and on all 4 starts over hurdles.
Arctic Piper (IRE)
Long-standing maiden. Hasn't looked like capitalising on a falling mark in a trio of handicap hurdle starts for present yard this season (much shorter in the betting than previously on Friday). RESERVE.
Sidiriya (IRE)
Remains winless over hurdles but placed at Sligo and Clonmel on first 2 starts this season. Shaped as if still in good form at Ballinrobe on latest outing, still in touch when falling 2 out. RESERVE. Engaged 2.10 Killarney Sunday.
