GLIONDAR is worth another chance to confirm his debut promise and could well make it third time lucky. Karrygrant is likely to be knocking on the door again, with Fleur de Provence expected to be firmly in the mix, too.

Timeform Comments

Caspian (IRE)
€5,000 foal, Far Above gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 1¼m-1½m winner Contingency Fee and 7f-1m winner Han Solo. Dam, French 8.5f winner, half-sister to very smart French winner up to 7f Do The Honours. Cheap purchase looks an outsider on racecourse bow.
Sron Na Caise (IRE)
Best effort when ¾-length second in a first-time visor over C&D in July (form hasn't worked out). Shaped as if still in good heart when 2½-length third at Laytown (7f). Back over a more suitable trip and return of headgear can only benefit.
Gliondar (FR)
Shaped very well when chasing home a next-time-out winner (now borderline smart) on debut at the Curragh (1m) in June. Reported to have finished sore/lost a shoe when turned over at Gowran (9.5f) subsequently. Has been given time to get over that and may make amends if back on song.
Karrygrant (IRE)
Proving expensive to follow, finishing runner-up 4 times in 9 starts. Got to the front from a wide draw when narrowly touched off at Bellewstown (1m) latest, the other frame horses since franking the form. Now tried in first-time tongue strap and he's entitled to go close again.
Private Peaceful (IRE)
Cheap purchase who stepped up on his debut when beaten 4¾ lengths at Listowel (1m, 50/1) last time. Will be better off in handicaps.
Saliba (IRE)
Improved for the step up in trip when 1¾ lengths second of 14 at Punchestown (9f, good) on fourth career start. Isn't far off the standard setters on that form and reasonable to assume he'll be ridden positively back over 1m.
Will You Stop (IRE)
On the up when hitting the frame in a couple of 1¼m maidens in June. Excuses at Galway prior to looking less than straightforward when beaten 7 lengths (hung right) at the Curragh (1¼m). Back over 1m for first time since his debut and may well benefit from first-time cheekpieces.
Emberelle (IRE)
Didn't build on an encouraging start when down the field at the Curragh (9f) 9 days ago. Relatively quick turnaround suggests handicaps may be the primary aim now.
Fleur De Provence (IRE)
Well-related filly who made a promising start with seconds in 1m maidens at Naas/Gowran. Back on track when 4 lengths third in first-time cheekpieces at Punchestown (9f) on return. Probably doesn't need much more to get off the mark.
Palina (GER)
Open to improvement following encouraging 8½ lengths third on debut at Cork (10.5f, heavy) in May. Faces drop back in trip/contrasting ground on her return and the market should help guide.
Xirivella (IRE)
Still green/ran up to her best when 2½ lengths second of 5 in a maiden (15/2) at Bellewstown (1m, soft) 4 days ago. More on her plate if turned out quickly in a deeper race.
