STELLARMASTERPIECE is thriving and can make it 4-4 at this course. Interesting handicap debutant Educator heads the dangers in a tricky race.

Timeform Comments

Emerald Time
Smooth-travelling type. Doubled his tally courtesy of a more delayed challenge at Uttoxeter (2m) on penultimate start. Still in good form when 5 lengths third at Worcester (2m) latest. Tackles a longer trip now and he'll need to relax in a race that could be steadily run.
Roarin' Success
Fairly useful Flat performer. Well backed/overcame mistakes when completing a course double over this trip in July. Jumped better when beaten 5¼ lengths off this mark at Bangor subsequently. Should give a good account in her bid to make it 3-3 here.
Educator
Likely campaigned with handicaps in mind when well held in maiden hurdles in 2024/5 season. Landed fairly useful double at Newmarket (1½m) this summer before seemingly going off the boil. Should stay this far on belated return to hurdling and opening mark attractive in the context of his Flat form.
God Of Fire (IRE)
Once-useful Flat performer who made the most of a good opportunity to open his hurdles account at Newton Abbot (2¼m) on comeback in July. Remained in good form prior to being let down by his jumping on return to Newton Abbot (2m) latest. Could be well positioned given how this is likely to unfold.
Stellarmasterpiece (FR)
Improved again/travelled well to complete a course hat-trick in July before bringing up a cross-code 4-timer on the Flat at Catterick (1½m). Continued in top form when second to a subsequent winner at Sedgefield (2½m) last time. Excels under Sean Bowen and can maintain her unbeaten record here.
Granny B (IRE)
Maiden whose best handicap form came when placing in back-to-back races at Uttoxeter last May. Hasn't shaped as though ready to capitalise on plummeting mark this season, though, typically taking a strong hold when beaten 17 lengths on return from 2 months off at Worcester last time.
