Timeform View

HAUTELUCE is 2-3 on all-weather and is lightly raced enough to think she can continue to progress now returned to this surface. The thriving Kaaranah is most feared, with Dovecote also meriting consideration upped in trip for his handicap bow.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Hamadhan traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Tortured Soul has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 3 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Kaaranah (IRE)
Enjoying a fine time of things this season, winning at C&D for the fourth time this year in July and backed that up with another good third of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (1¼m, all-weather) 53 days ago. Can make presence felt again.
Hamadhan (IRE)
No progress in 4 starts for this yard, including when tailed off following a gelding operation 31 days ago. Cheekpieces on first time.
Dovecote
Fair form when runner-up all 3 starts in maiden/novice company this year, albeit a bit below his previous levels when runner-up in a 4-runner novice at Chester (7f, soft) 24 days ago. Blinkers on first time. Makes handicap debut over significantly longer trip.
Hauteluce (FR)
Off the mark at C&D (9.5f) on return and did well to double her tally on handicap debut at Southwell (1m) in August, overcoming a pace bias. Respectable effort when sixth of 12 in handicap at Goodwood (1¼m, good) 38 days ago and is considered with return to all-weather a plus.
Pulsar Star
Good second at Nottingham on handicap debut in April but hasn't really kicked on since, failing to make much of a handy position when 3¾ lengths eighth of 13 to Kaaranah in handicap at this C&D 76 days ago.
Eastern Veil
Lightly raced as a juvenile, ending campaign with victory at Wolverhampton. Better form without really threatening to score in 3 starts this season, possibly needing the outing after 4 months off when ninth of 10 in handicap (20/1) at Epsom (8.5f, good) 25 days ago.
Tortured Soul
Kickstarted 2026 with 11f Southwell win in January. Plenty of good efforts on all-weather subsequently but well held back on turf on his last 2 outings. Return to this surface needs to spark a revival.
Reveur (IRE)
Lightly-raced ex-French 1¼m winner for Christopher Head. Changed hands for €15,000 and shaped as if needing the run when tenth of 17 in handicap (50/1) at Doncaster (1¼m, good to firm) on UK debut 24 days ago. This should reveal more.
Showcasing Star (IRE)
Belatedly matched the pick of his maiden form when 2¼ lengths third of 6 in a maiden handicap here (8.5f) last month. Added to his patchy profile when down the field at Musselburgh last time but does at least look more solid on all-weather. Cheekpieces on first time.
Sant Alessio (IRE)
Dual winner last season, including over 8.7f here. Not really seen to great effect in 4 starts so far this year, possibly needing the run after 11 weeks off at Bath (1m, good to soft) 22 days ago but is now 2 lb below last winning mark.
